Serena's P.O.V
It felt like the week was dragging along. Finally Friday was here and I only had one more day of school to endure. My grandmother hasn't really talked that much since the incident on Monday.
She's just so harsh on my sometimes, but I know why she's that way she just wants to protect me.
Ever since my parents were killed we both have been a little worried about the other.
I walked downstairs quietly not wanting to wake my grandmother. She had been at work late last night and I know she was tired.
My phone suddenly rung making me jump out of surprise.
I quickly answered "What in the world do you want you almost woke up my grandmother" I hurried out the house talking in a hushed voice.
"Hello Renabelle I'm bored can you please come entertain me" I rolled my eyes getting into my car and tossing my bookbag in to the back seat.
"Shouldn't you be getting ready for school I'm heading over now" Grayson and I had an unspoken agreement where he would ride with me to school.
I started down the road towards Grayson's place "I'm not going to school today I'm skipping."
"Grayson are you serious...you can't just skip on your first week of school" This boy needed a lot of help.
"Yes I'm serious now come to my place you're skipping too" I have never skipped a day of school in my life.
"Are you crazy they'll call home if I miss school" I groaned when I pulled up at Grayson's building and saw him not waiting outside like usual. He really was being serious.
"Don't worry they won't call I'll handle it come up" I knew listening to Grayson was a bad idea but if I was being honest with myself I wasn't feeling school.
I bit my lip subconsciously something I always did when I was about to make a bad decision.
"I'm coming up don't make me regret this" I hung up grabbing my bag before heading up to his place.
Once I made it to the 4th floor I knocked on his door waiting patiently for him to answer.
Sometimes I believe I'm going crazy and this was one of those moments.
A boy I've barely know for 5 days asks me to skip and I just go along with it just like that.
Grayson answered the door stepping aside to let me in.
I've been at his place once before to wait for him to finish getting ready for school.
His place was decorated just like you would imagine any bachelor pad to be which suited him well. Everything was either black or blood red which most would say seemed a little eerie but I liked it.
I sat on his couch watching as he walked over to his projection screen pulling it down so we could watch something I guess.
"I'm in the mood for a horror movie so that's what we're watching" He started up a movie before coming to sit beside me.
"You made me skip school for a movie" I crossed my arms and he chuckled poking my cheek.
"Well most girls would die to be in your place" I rolled my eyes kicking off my shoes so I could lay on the couch.
"Well I'm not most girls" I glanced over at Grayson who had a small knowing smile on his face "You really aren't Renabelle."
I cocked my head to the side about to ask him what he meant until a knock on the door interrupted me.
