I was to begin another bullshit year at bullshit high in the bullshit town of bullshit, New Jersey. I honestly hated school. Not because I hated the work, that I could handle just fine, it was the narcissistic nature of the people I found most appalling. Anyways I digress.
I wore the uniform that had become associated with me. Black skinny jeans, a home made Thursday shirt, black Chuck Taylors and a shit ton of bracelets half way up my right arm. Call me weird, call me goth, call me emo, I'd rather wear a healthy coat of black instead of all that air jordan's, preppy, Aber-Hollister and Eagle bullshit.
Six-fourty in the morning, I leave the house, not a drop of food in my stomach, walk into the crisp september air. Mom says good bye in the overly cheery voice that annoys me, dad has already gone off to work.
The temperature is cooler than normal for the tuesday after labour day. I put in my ear buds, hitting play to await whatever the iPhone gods decide which song is suitable enough for my ears to engage in a bit of acoustic gluttony. Thursday. Good choice iPhone gods.
My entire street was serviced by a single bus stop. We had five kids this year. Tyler, an annoying senior, Shawn, an annoying junior, Aaron, Shawn's brother and a not as annoying junior and two freshmen. It took about ten minutes to walk to the stop. It'd take about fifteen in the winter. The headlights of the bus came peering through the fog, casting a halo of rainbow.
I usually sat alone on the bus. It tended to be my least favourite part of the day. I never could relate to anyone. I found the people in this town alien. I didn't feel human here, just a creature that speaks English. It's not to say I was completely miserable with this arrangement, I doubt anyone here had anything interesting to say. I was however the only senior who took the bus. Most owned a car and Tyler being one of them would stop taking the bus in a week. I did have my license it's just that I didn't own a car because I wasn't born with a silver spoon up my ass.
The bus ride lasted a half hour. My schedule this year has my elective, art, as my first period class on even days. Since it was the first day it would be an even/odd day. We'd have all of our classes. Tomorrow was to be an odd day, the next even.
The driveway of the school came into view, the gates to hell open

Hello readers (I seriously hope there are any). I know I haven't put out a new part to A Bloody Rose in while. I'm putting the project on hiatus. I know, I'm a shitty writer. I'm trying to balance out school, my ever growing writer's block and personal problems. In the mean time, I've decided to undertake this project as something new and fresh to get my wandering mind back on track. I hope you all like it. Feel free to comment and like if you wish, it would be a huge help. Thank you.
DFTBA,
Southpaw
