Blue skies; gentle and warm color. Blue skies, blue skies, blue skies... the first image that come to my mind as I remembered the color of your eyes.
I was around the age of 10 when I first met you," Sebastian Walaski." It's a day I would never forget.
I was on my way to buying some delicious ice cream; chocolate ice cream was my favourite! Oh, how I loved it- that's where I met you.
I had tripped on my way to the ice cream truck then you came, and you picked me up from off the hard ground. I had only encountered a small bruise on my right arm and knee but those eyes of yours distracted me from my pain.
Dazzling light blue eyes just like the blue skies itself. Sweaty jet black hair clustered to your chocolate smooth skin. I've never seen no other boy like you, I was too dumbfounded to speak.
"Are you okay?" Such a soothing and cute voice you had, Sebastian. It still is but deeper- just like how I liked it.
"Are you okay or are you just dumb?" That was enough to snap me out of my trance.
"Excuse me, bitch!?" I glared at his beautiful yet agitated eyes.
This may sound weird and all, but that's how we became best friends.
Then 6 years later, Sebastian moved away before I had the chance to tell him I loved him. No word from him again... just disappeared out of my life. I've never told anyone about him, especially my bestfriend for he was my little secret.
"Pat, how long are you going to stay underneath the sun?" Chelsea , my bestfriend asked arching her neatly done eyebrows up. We were at the beach in Montego Bay where Chelsea forcibly dragged me to.Her big brown eyes stared into my dark ones. "Not for long, I'm hungry anyways."
Chelsea eyes brightened, "oh, great I was just about to ask you anyways." Her belly rolled in symphony. She was in an one-piece navy blue swimsuit that hugged her curves. Oh, boy she was thick.
I chuckled, Chelsea light skin got red with embarrassment. "Let's go!" She pouted.
"Haha, okay."I held her hand as she led to an outside restaurant near the beach.
Fast forward, I'm 19 years old now. I've got an on and off boyfriend, Josh. I'm heading off to The University of The West Indies (UWI- one of the most prestigious Caribbean university) in 2 weeks.
Yup, that's about it so far in my life. You expected me to think about Sebastian for the rest of my life? Hell no, well, only occasionally... a thought or two may come to my head about his whereabouts but that's it!
"Patrice!" Chelsea said as if she's been calling forever.
"Yes, yes, yes I'm here..." I held my hands up like I did something wrong.
"Ouuu, girlfriend you had gotten a pedicure without me." Chelsea placed her hands to her chest.
"Sorry, honey." I said while admiring my pink and red nails with 3 Pearl's at the side for each nails done to perfection.
"Why didn't I noticed before?" She stared off into space.
I shook my head. "Now, what was it you wanted to say?" I asked eagerly.
"Ouuu, girl I didn't know how long I could keep this is up for." Chelsea eyes beamed with happiness.
"Keep up what?" I folded my arms.
"Bitch, I've got a man." I high-fived her.
"Girl, good for you." I'm happy for her, I wondered who the lucky guy was.
"What's his name? How did you meet him? Bitch, how did you meet?" Chelsea showed me her hands instead,( the audacity) and checked her phone for 2 seconds.
Her smile extended, "you're meeting him today, bitch."
"In 10 minutes," Chelsea continued.
"Bitch what!?"
"Girl, I'm not even well-dressed today," I said albeit checking my two-piece silver attire."Gal, don't worry yourself. It's okay," Chelsea brushed it off. This is one of the things I don't like about Chelsea; Chelsea always does things without telling me the majority of the times, and I'm honestly sick of it. If it is not her way, then she doesn't business.
"Chelsea, I don't like it when you do that-"
"Ready to order miss?" A petite waitress in an overall black attire asked.
"Just water, we're not ready yet."
"You really piss me off when you do this." I glared at her.
"Listen, you've got men everywhere around here, perhaps some even looking at you. So what's so different about my boyfriend?"
She has a point but she knows how I am, she has to respect that."I would have wanted him too meet us somewhere where I'm dressed more formal, you know that.."
"Pat, it's already done. No use arguing over it." Chelsea said as if she can't bother with me right now.I sighed, "I thought you were hungry." I blew a strand of my curly out of my face.
"I am but I'm waiting on my m-" Chelsea suddenly stopped in her tracks.
My eyes then followed her gaze.
I couldn't believe my eyes! It was Sebastian in the flesh.
Out of nowhere, I saw Chelsea hugging up tightly. I wanted to hide myself but Sebastian had already caught me with his dazzling blue eyes.
Sebastian's face was more defined than it was before as he peered up at me with a look of shock. Sebastian's body was not as skinny as it was before, he looked healthy, and fit in his new clothes: a black jeans pants, a white t- shirt that hugged his upper body, and an Adidas shoes. Before I knew it, Sebastian and Chelsea appeared right in front of me.
What? How? When? Where? Why?I didn't even get to process my thoughts properly as Sebastian trapped with his death-defying hug.
He let go of me, and then I encountered his familiar rosy-like scent.
"Pat, it's honestly so great to see you again." He had an accent too? American?"Same, bestie!" I returned his hug nervously.
"Hey, I thought I was your bestie." Chelsea, pouted once again while placing her hands on her hips.
"God is good, bringing the three of us all together again." Sebastian said enveloping all of us into one big hug.
I laughed nervously, "Haha... yeah."
"I know right, baby" Chelsea eyes brightened.
Oh, lord, please help me. I am fucked in so many ways.
