America has always been broken and when quirks came around it began to crumble even faster. With so much power and not enough time to figure out a solution a new law was arranged to keep some form of peace. Even if eighty percent of the world had quirks the number in American soon changed. In the utopia, people were happy, healthy, and were able to socialize with one another and with those that had quirks that had been approved by the court. However, where the light shines there's still dark and that's where our story begins.
Branwen and Vincent were from the quirk side because they were deemed unfit for the utopian side. Their quirks were called Demon's flame and Wolf magic, but they never used it to harm the innocent. One day, Branwen had crawled out of the hole they called home and ran to the utopian side in search of food and clean water, but she was captured by Peacemakers. Before she had a punishment set up a top peacemaker, a hero, sat down and talked to her asking her a few questions about why she was stealing and where she lived. That Peacemaker was Apollo Clawson, a bright and handsome young man with a quirk of light and he had captured the heart of the young woman by using his charm and flashing her a warm smile.
Apollo let the women off with a warning and he told the young woman he would be keeping an eye on her every now and then. He never did mention to the starstruck woman that he was married and had a young boy of his own that was already a year old. Still, the two met in secret for days, weeks, months, and eventually, after one year he proposed to her and they married in secret. Nine months later their first son was born. Apollo looked at his newborn in horror because the baby looked nothing like him for his hair was black and eyes emerald green, plus he had tiny devil horns growing out the side of his head along with little bat-like wings and a black demon tail.
Apollo looked at his mistress in rage and slapped her across the face and yelled curse words causing the child to cry. Vincent had heard the yelling from outside the room and stepped in getting Apollo out and protecting his sister and nephew, but it was too late and Branwen had seen her husband's true colors. For years, Branwen and Vincent moved to get away from Apollo and the son grew to have a more intense version of his Uncles quirk.
The child was named Edgar, after Branwen's favorite author, Edgar Allan Poe, for his darker writing along with his determination to keep his family together. Five years had gone by and Edgar had obtained his own form of the demon quirk called Demon Spawn which allowed him to control a type of green fire, along with the power to seduce people of his choosing. While Edgar and Vincent had left to train out in the forest, Branwen was left home alone to clean up the house and try to fix the shower since Vincent broke it on accident when he went to adjust the showerhead with his demon strength.
While she had been putting the dishes away she felt the hairs standing up on the back of her neck causing her to stop and look around to make sure she was alone. With a shrug, she went back to work, but couldn't shake the feeling that someone or something was watching her every movement. When she had stepped into the bathroom with her tool bag she set it down on the counter then began to adjust the showerhead bolts, but she failed to notice the door closing and locking along with the soft steps getting closer to her.
"Don't scream unless you want your neck slit," Apollo growled into her while covering her mouth with his hand. A smirk came across his lips when he felt Branwen shaking while a gloss coated her eyes as if she were about to cry.
"Now, you're going to stay quiet while I do what I came here for." He whispered then slowly his hands slipped to the buttons of her jeans.
Branwen's eyes widened with fear as she began to squirm and whimper out of an attempt to escape Apollo's grip, but she was met with being pinned to the wall and her jeans being ripped off.
