Andy's POV

Ashley wants twizzlers. He convinces Andy to go back to the store to get them. On his way, he ran into Leigh.

I was walking to the store when I ran into this girl. Well, more or less her running into me. I saw her blue eyes, piercing to mine... she had amazing eyes. She was gorgeous. But before I had a chance to say anything, she darted past me and I saw a dark figure chasing after her. I had to help her.

“Here, come with me!” I yelled out to her, and pulled her into a dark building I noticed, most likely deserted. We listened at the door as this guy continued to call out her name, fear obvious in her eyes. Eventually he gave up and left.

“Are you okay?” I asked her concerned.

“Yea, I’m fine…”

“what happened?”

“Well… I was at this stupid obligation party my parents made me go to.” she explained. "I was really bored, so I went to my bedroom with my boyfriend. I thought we could just watch some TV, or listen to music and talk… but he tried to take advantage of me. When I tried to get him off of me, He only slapped me, saying “You’re no good for anyone; I’m the only one who will put up with you.”

At this point I was getting angry. How dare anyone do that to this girl! She was gorgeous! I hid my anger with a face of understanding so I wouldn’t make her more nervous than she already was.

“I struggled more, and ended up punching him square in the jaw, and he stumbled back a little bit. I ran out of the room, and past my parents. They didn’t even do anything, they don’t care about me. They won’t say it, but they only view me as an emo fag.”

I knew that feeling all too well, have been being judged like that when I was in high school.

"I’m way less than perfect to them. I mean, I have black hair covered in blue and pink highlights and dress nothing like they want me to… why should they view me as perfect? I’m nothing like they want. They want me to be like them… and I just can’t. They want me in dresses and heels, but I hate heels and dresses. I mean nothing to them because of that. But anyway, I ran past them and they did nothing. Joe ran past them after me. So I was running through the streets trying to get away from him when I ran into you.” She explained to me, at this point tears rolling down her face.

“Listen to me, okay?” I said to her, locking eyes. She just nodded.

“You are a beautiful girl, and perfect in every way that I can see. I don’t know what’s wrong with your parents, but they’re crazy. Okay?”

She lunged into me then, I just tightly hugged her back and let her cry into my chest.

“Take as long as you need” I whispered to her, tightening the grip as her body shook. After a few minutes, she looked up at me and I wiped the tears off of her face.

“What’s your name?” I asked her. “I never caught that part.”

“My name’s Leigh”

“Well Leigh, how about you come back to me and my bands place for the time being? You can’t live on with people who clearly are treating you horribly.”

“Wait… seriously? You would do that for me?”

“Hell yea I would! You’re strong for getting through all of this. Now’s the time to start living the life you want to.” I wanted to help her get to that life so badly at this point. “Now come on.”

She had a smile on her face that only one word could even come close to describe… gorgeous.

We got up and looked around outside the door to make sure they were alone. Once we were reassured, we left and walked towards my place. I couldn’t wait for her to meet the rest of the band. There was something special about her.
