The sun was now setting, allowing the moon to slowly take it's place.

Symere was hopeless as a poor person with dreams. A feeling of melancholy took over his body as depressing thoughts attacked his mind.

He was fed up. Why? Why go through all of this when he could end it all? After all he had nothing to live for.

no friends

no family

no lover

no earthly possession

The young boy looked around his surroundings, noticing busy bodies scurrying past him.

Across the street were a small diner and a café along with other small stores.

Symere stuffed his hand in his pocket searching for his $30 bill. He figured that if he was gonna do the unspeakable then he at least deserved a last meal.

The short man chuckled dryly at his stupid logic and made his way towards the small café.

He hoisted his bag over his shoulder while pushing the door to the café with his left hand.

Symere felt the warmth and the scent of freshly baked pastries, along with freshly brewed coffee entered his nostrils as he stepped in the small café.

The place was small and comfortable. The walls were creme coloured with beige plush chairs occupying mahogany tables.

There were a few persons in there. Some were by themselves or with friends. Everyone looked comfortable and seemed to be in there own little bubble.

Symere walked up to the register after briefly scanning the menu board. He settled on a French vanilla coffee and a chocolate chip muffin to accompany the hot beverage.

Symere collected his ticket and took a seat next to the glass window while waiting for his number to be called so he could collect his order.

Shortly after his number was called. Symere made his way towards the counter to collect his meal. He muttered a quick thank you to the worker.

Symere turned around to make his way back to his seat but was startled when he bumped into a hard chest.

The sound of his coffee spilling on the person's shirt and the cup falling to ground echoed in his ears.

Immediately registering what just happened the shorter male started to panic.

Out of habit Symere started to ramble about how sorry he was. He was taken aback by the deep chuckle that flew past the person opposing him lips.

Symere stopped his apology mid way, holding a mixture of embarrassment and confusion on his face. The shorter boy craned his neck up and was a met with a pair of breathtaking brown eyes.

Symere allowed his eyes to trail over the rest of the stranger's facial features.

The taller man raised his eyebrows in amusement with a smirk playing on his lips.

Symere went to apologize again but was cut off by a smooth yet deep voice.

"It's all good beautiful. By the way I'm Jordan, and you?", the taller man,  whose name Symere just learned to be Jordan peered down at him while waiting for an answer.
