Chapter Two

(Libertas Point of view)

Grandmother Dawn said earlier today that I will be finding my soul mate. She knows that I for one do not enjoy the opposing sex or gender and she said that my soul mate will be exactly what I want. Honestly, I am excited to meet my soul mate. I have never been in a relationship and I never wanted one. All the boys in my tribe were staight and already in happy relationships with their soul mates... I would never interfere with someone elses happiness.

Something I never expected to happen happened today while I was roaming around the woods looking for the maize I planted earlier this year. As I looked out toward the edge of the island these strange rectangular clouds were constantly moving toward the island being pushed by the wind. I was just wondering away from the tribe and I honestly was really curious.

I started moving toward the clouds. The grass was forever beneath my feet and the wind blowing through the hair on my head that I needed to cut ,eventually. The knife in my hand was slowly but surely cutting into my skin but it was for my protecting I was holding it in the first place. These clouds could be my soul mate and I was about to meet him. The smile on my face could never faulter at this moment and I don't care if he came to me by clouds or wolfs as long as he was mine.

As I got to the front of the island I stopped short when I heard 'Bring them to me' from a man that's mouth was to big for his head. His image wasn't in my mind for very long as soon as I saw the eye catching man beside him walking toward my direction. I fell backward with a thud as my bottom hit the dirt. At that moment I thought

'My soul mate is to beautiful even for me.

The gods of the harvest must have a mistake.

Someone of his class would never love me back.'

I had no time to think because my soul mate was already on the move toward the clump of trees and I did the only thing I thought to do... follow him. Whatever those brown things on his feet were made a lot of noise along with the other people he came he with. As I followed behind him I got to take in his apperance.

His hair was the color of the autumn leaves and his butt was firm. His skin was the color of the clouds he arrived on and he was a bit taller than me. I facepalmed myself, I am so perverted. Why was I thinking of his butt at a time like this. His dakota shirt was air thin while his pants were navy dakota and still air thin.

He wasn't walking for very long and he was traveling from the way I came. A few trees past by as we waled together. I mean we arne't together but it feels like we are. If I reached out to grab his arm ,at this moment, I feel as if he would grab mine back... I laughed at the thought.

Soon I realized he was isolated from the others and I knew exactly where he was headed. I went ahead to meet him there.

When I got to the waterfall I had to prepare myself just for him. I washed up a bit from the water and I cleaned my teeth for the 2nd time today. I thought to myself if he knew I was him soul mate but I ignored the thought as I heard him approach. I got up from the water and turned around slowly to say "Hello"
