The night breeze feels good as Arkis looked up-- a vista of sparkling stars greeted him. He can't help but smile and glanced at his companion tonight-- beautiful, like the stars above.
"Never failed to fascinate me," he said, pertaining to the stars but his eyes never leaves Bea.
Could it be the stars or the girl he was with? Maybe it can be both.
Bea remained smiling, her way of concurring. "You remembered what I told you?" She, then, asked.
Arkis nodded his head, remembering the night they first went to see the stars. In this exact place and in this exact time. Everything is exact when they're together.
"You said they were angels, guiding people so that they don't lose their way in the...dark," Arkis voice became gentle as he said the last word.
"And haven't I told you that I wanted to be one of those stars?" Bea asked again, sounding like it was normal, but for Arkis it wasn't. It was alarming-- like something shouldn't be done or everything will go dark.
Arkis sighed and looked up again. Asking for help, that the stars would lit up the darkness that's about to fill him wholly.
As his tears fell, the night breeze hugged him warmly. The glistening stars were cheering at him. He nodded at them and wiped off his tears--for acceptance starts by wiping them.
"I'll be always guiding you, Arkis" Bea softly whispered and remained smiling on that picture frame he brought with him.
