The moon

The sun yawns and yells to the moon
"I'm too tired, it's your turn"
the moon wakes up; approaching end of noon

the moon watches over
chatting with the stars
befriending the passing mars

peering over the covering clouds
watching the children run to their house
seeing the night sift workers thereabouts
hearing the moos from the nearby cows

the morning approaches
the sun climbs out of its pajamas
the moon; the suns wake up call
the whole system; important yet small
