Taehyung and Yoongi sat down across from each other in the private room, the two sofas being separated by a thin pole just incase a customer was to ask for a pole dance.
It wasn't Jungkook's first time being in one of these rooms, but it was definitely his first time in there to actually work. If only he knew how.
Jungkook sat down next to Taehyung, surprising the elder just a little, but him dismissing it since the youngster was indeed new. Jungkook soon realized his small mistake when watching Jimin sit down on Yoongi's lap.
The two were of course already close with each other, the smaller snuggling in towards Yoongi's neck as his arms hugged around his shoulders. Jungkook wasn't comfortable with such a thing yet, glancing back at Taehyung with nervous eyes.
Taehyung caught his gaze, his eyes connected with the younger as a smile warmed up onto his face. "Would you care to have a drink with me?" Taehyung questioned, now switching his gaze to Jin at the door. "You, fetch us some whiskey please.
"Yes, sir." Jin bowed before scurrying away.
Taehyung eased back into the sofa. "So, you didn't tell me earlier, what's your major in college?"
"Cinematography." Jungkook pipped back, keeping his gaze on Taehyung to try and seem as confident as possible. "Why?"
"Just curious." Jin soon arrived again with four drink, knowing Jimin wouldn't drink his but still being considerate none the less. "Thank you, now some privacy please."
Jin bowed once more, connecting gazes with Jungkook before escaping out the room.
With Jin gone, the boy felt nervous once again. "Earlier," Taehyung began, catching Jungkook's attention once more, "I asked your name, I wanted to know you're real name."
"Oh?" Jungkook raised his brows. "Well..."
"It's Jeon Jungkook, Taehyung," Yoongi spoke up, his patients ticking low. "Of the Jeon family, remember them? Now can we get back to the purpose of our meeting?"
Taehyung's eyes widened, dropping down in a pained manner. "Ah yes, I remember," he then turned towards Jungkook, "I'm sorry for-"
"I don't want to hear it, just get on with your meeting." The younger crossed his arms, turning away from the elder and his empty, meaningless apology.
Taehyung scoffed at him, knowing the younger is probably still hurting from the loss of his parents. Jungkook's was just sixteen when his parents tragically passed away, Taehyung knew this because it was the mafia's fault their dead. Taehyung even knew the exact men who killed the boy's parents. But of course, he'd never tell.
"So," Taehyung's leaned back into the love seat, picking up the small glass of whiskey and swirling his hand around to stir the drink. "I have a question for you, Min Yoongi."
Yoongi pulled Jimin closer to his body, hugging him tightly. "Yes?"
"What happened to my most recent shipment?" Taehyung leaned forward, snaring at Yoongi. "Where's my money, Yoongi?"
Yoongi evidently gulped, his hand gripping at Jimin's thigh tightly. "Jihoon was in charge of the shipment."
"But you're in charge of my imports. Kim Jihoon was hauling in a load all the way from Daegu and now he suddenly disappeared? That's ridiculous, don't you think?"
"Well," Yoongi's eyes began to wander, "I did do a search where Jihoon was stationed, there are no signs or reports of him being there..."
"I know, what else did you do Yoongi?"
"I got my men to hack into CCTV cameras in the area, the last place he was seen at was the bank around the corner. He made a large deposit."
"I know that as well. What else did you do, Yoongi?" Taehyung was obviously fishing for a specific answer, probing at Yoongi's mind hastily.
"I had my men patrol the area, so if anything comes up-"
"That's not good enough for me." Taehyung sat back, his voice darkening as he continued to stare at elder. "What you should've done before all of that was tell me a shipment went missing, but you waited instead, why?"
That's when Yoongi realized why he was there. Taehyung was suspecting him to be an accomplice in Jihoon's little heist. His eyes lingered lowly as his heart gained a heavy feeling. "Taehyung, I thought-"
"Look at me when you speak."
Yoongi peered up into Taehyung's eyes, them pointing at him like lasers. An immediate shockwave was sent through Yoongi's body, he suddenly feared for his life. "I thought I could fix this whole thing on my own."
"And did you?"
Yoongi's head dropped down low once more, him shaking it side to side in reply.
"Well, good news. While you were fucking around with the slut, I located Jihoon with the help of Namjoon, he's hiding out in an abandoned warehouse selling my shipment of drugs because you failed at the one job you were given."
"Wait," yoongi pipped back, "slut? I was busting my ass to find this guy and that's what you say to me?"
Taehyung perked up at the delightful sound of Yoongi's anger. He loved pushing people to the edge and was prideful of his ability to manipulate. "Well, you do seem like you've gotten pretty close with one of my strippers. I wouldn't be surprised if this one was on your dick every night." He eyes Jimin, only pushing Yoongi's buttons more.
"Don't call Jimin a slut, he's not like that."
"And the slut has a name."
"Taehyung, if you fucking call Jimin that again I'll-"
"You'll what, Yoongi? What possibly could you say or do to me now? You were here acting like a child while someone was fucking around with my money yet you think you can talk to me like that?" Taehyung took a large sip of his whiskey, keeping his eyes trained right on Yoongi's. "You're demoted from your position, clearly I can't trust you anymore."
He stood up from his seat, Yoongi shooting up from his at the same time. "Wait, Taehyung, please-"
"You know I don't tolerate disrespect, and you don't deserve to call me Taehyung anymore. It's V." Taehyung glanced over at Jimin's sunken face, approaching him sulking figure. "And I'm sorry I called you that, I really didn't mean it."
Taehyung escaped out of the room, Yoongi following sharply been him. Jungkook glanced at Jimin with confusion. "What just happened?"
Jimin shook his head, standing up. "Come on."
The two left the room, seeing a panicked Yoongi conversing with the calm Taehyung. Taehyung looked as if he wasn't listening to any of Yoongi's pleads at all.
"Listen," Taehyung spoke, "I'll be back here soon, Jihoon will be here with me this time. It will be your chance to prove yourself to me once again."
"Thanks, V."
"Don't fuck up."
Taehyung turned away, approaching Jungkook sweetly, his dark expression dispersing immediately. "I'll see you soon." He grabbed his hand, kissing it briefly before leaving with the rest of his men.
Jungkook didn't know Taehyung at all really, but he knew he was dangerous.
