Malachi's POV
There's new furniture in the house, and new belongings. It's not like there was anything to begin with, but new things comes new people. But in this case, it's a girl.
"Honey," she yells, walking in through the door. I turn invisible and make my way into the living room where she's standing in the doorway. "I'm home!" I stare at her in confusion. I'm confused as of who she is exactly looking for considering the fact that it's only the two of us alone here in the house. She laughs to herself as if she told a hilarious joke. "Just kidding. I don't have a lover."
She shuts the door and turns on the light. The house is completely furnished due to the fact that others had helped her unpack here, and it feels homie. . . at least I think it does. She plops onto the couch next to me, and I jump slightly. She's really close to me, but it's not like she can touch me. She doesn't even know that I'm here. So what if I just. . .
I stand up and make my way over to the kitchen, where I had come from originally when she first arrived here. It's been so lonely here, and nobody ever stays in this house for longs because of me. Maybe she's different. She seems young and around what age I would be if I weren't. . . well you know. . . dead. Besides, it gets boring being all alone here. What's a little fun going to hurt?
I'm like an illusion. I look like a real life, alive, salesman. That's her biggest fear, salesman. She's not necessarily scared of them but what they can do to her, and that's exactly what I'm going to pull off.
I've already learned that her name is Y/N L/N, and the rest of it is easy. That's the thing. Someone caused me pain and left me alone, upset, in pain, and scared, so I'm going to do the same thing to everybody else. It's not right, but what else am I supposed to do? It's not like I'm going to turn back into a human anytime soon. I'm a ghost. I'm simply just carrying out what human's protest ghost to be and how horrid they sometimes are.
"Ah, Ms. L/N, I'm glad to see that you're all settled in." To her, I appear to be some really creepy man who somehow managed to get into her house, but she doesn't know the half of it.
"W-Who are you?" She questions, standing up. It's not hard to tell that she's already frightened. It's a tad bit funny to me, but that doesn't mean anything. The fun is just about to begin. "How did you get into my house?"
"Oh that doesn't matter sweetheart." I tilt my head and look up, biting my lip ever so sightly. There was rope hidden in my hand that I held behind my back, and I let it show once my hands go to my sides. "Say, would you like to have a bit of fun? I sell rope for a living. Care to test it out for me? It's a new kind."
"No, no," she tells me, pushing the comment to the side and reaching for her phone on the table and slowly walking backwards towards her front door. I lock the door with my mind to slow her down. "There's no need for that. In fact, I think it's about time I leave. A friend is waiting for me!" She lets out an awkward laugh, looking uneasy.
"Are you sure?" She reassures me that she doesn't want to test out the rope and bolts towards the door. She realizes that I'm getting closer and panics as she tries to open the door only to fail. "Come on sweetheart, don't be like that." She tried to unlock the door and pull on it, but to no luck she's unable to do so. I walk over to her and place my hand on her shoulder, and she looks at though she wants to cry. "Hello," I coo, leaning into her ear.
"P-Please just leave me alone. I'll do anything. Just p-please stop."
She looks so fragile and frightened, and I don't know why but I feel bad. She's clamped her eyes shut and has her arms hugged around her torso. She's shaking, and I want to give her a hug. It confuses me, but I turn back to my normal form anyway.
