Sometimes in life all you need is someone to save you.

This is where I lived, this is where I stayed, and this is where I was damaged.

My family was dysfunctional to say the least. My parents drank their lives away, only caring about two things: alcohol, and how they were going to get more alcohol.

I wasn't an alcoholic like them, I was just their daughter. So, I had to fend for myself.

My mom never cooked me anything or never made sure I had a ride to school. And she would say the meanest things to me.

"You ungrateful, ugly cow! You will never amount to anything!"

And my dad never spoke to me, unless he was beating me. Mom never tried to stop him, sometimes she would even encourage him.

One day I decided that enough was enough and that I would rather live on the streets then live with them.

I spent a few nights on the bus stop bench until this happened:

"Hey, Don't I know you? I think I have seen you around campus." A girl with long blonde hair, approached me and said.

"Oh, you go to UCLA?" I asked, sitting up on the bench.

"Yeah. So why are you out here so late?" She asked me.

Shit, what can I say? I can't tell her the truth.

Luckily, before I could ever answer she said:

"Hey! Do you need a place to stay?"

She must have seen the desperation and begging in my eyes.

"Oh no, I'm fine, it's okay." I tried to reassure.

"I live alone, the house is so big, that it makes me feel even lonelier. I would enjoy your company!" She explained.

"Are you sure, maybe just until I figure something out." I asked, uncomfortably.

"Of course, you can stay as long as you need." She answered.

This is where I live now: In a big mansion in Los Angeles.

Little did I know that Poppy Banks was Sterling Banks' step-daughter. He was one of the richest men in the country because of some real estate thing.

Poppy can be quite a handful. So her mother and Mr. Banks allowed her to live here as long as she stays out of trouble and keeps up with all her classes.

Too bad she couldn't  hold up her end of the bargain...

Last week Poppy got a DUI. We went to some stupid party. I begged, and begged her not to drive, but Poppy can be...persuasive. We hit a tree. Luckily, no one was hurt, but she got arrested.

Mr. Banks was furious and is now making his son keep an eye on us for a while.

This should be interesting...

"So Bentley should be here soon."

Bentley Banks, 28. Son of Sterling Banks, and the current face to Banks Properties.

I've never met him but I can only assume he was some sort of God. Every time we go to a party, the girls swoon over him and nonstop asks Poppy where he is.

"How are you going to deal with having someone to answer to now?" I asked.

"Oh please, Bentley is a workaholic, just like Sterling. He probably won't even have time to pay attention to us." Poppy answered with sass and a laugh.

"Plus he used to be the "it" guy around here. Im sure he can get us into all the great parties." Poppy added.

"I thought him being was supposed to keep you from going to parties?" I asked.
