Reflections: Shouto Todoroki x Reader

Chapter 22

Your POV

As we walk away from the hospital we all stopped once we started herring Iida talking.  He was apologizing for hitting Izuku.

"I have some concerns Iida," Yoayorazu said," What exactly is your justification for changing your mind and joining us?"

Then Izuku started to tell Iida he didn't have to apologize.  However I was curious myself to why Iida changed his mind.

"To be clear I'm coming because I don't condone your behavior.  It's as simply as that.  If there's even a hint of physical combat, I'll make you retreat immediately.  So in other words I'm your watchmen," Iida said.

"Exactly what we needed," Shouto said.

"Sounds more like a glorified babysitter," I said. 

"That's not it at all!" Iida protested.

"Anyway, the same goes for me.  Rescuing Bakugo is a job for the pros.  Objectively there's no reason for any of us go after him.  However I understand how each of you feel.  So I'm compromising.  Don't forget that." Yoayorazu said.

I know they said no combat but, I would break that rule in a heart beat if I know there is no other way.  It doesn't matter if they are watching me.  They won't be able to stop me. 

"Right," Shouto said.

"Understood," Kirashima said.

After everything was said and done we got on a train to follow up on Yoayorazu's lead.  Once on the train Yoayorazu started telling us we're the tracker was and telling us our arrival time.  I was sitting next to Shouto on the train listening to her. 

"So um...did you tell the rest of the class about this?  Do they know what we're doing tonight?" Izuku asked Shouto. 

I started to clench my fists after Izuku's question. 

"Yes, and they tried their best to talk us out of it," Shouto said.

"Ya even Uraraka ganged up on us trying to change our minds," Kirashima said from across the aisle.

"I'm more surprised about Tsu if anything," I said squeezing my fists tighter with annoyance in my tone.

Shouto then looked at me and put his arm around my back.  He started rubbing my back and I calmed down a bit. 

"Just to make sure, you know we are going against everyone wishes and being selfish by doing this.  We could call this off if you want to," Shouto said. 

"I would never turn my back on my brother despite how much of an ass he is," I said.

"I agree with (Y/N).  Bakugo wouldn't think twice about going after the villains if he were here," Kirashima said.

"What about you Midoriya?," Shouto asked.

"He's my friend.  I refuse to turn back," Izuku said.

"I see, alright then," Shouto said.

We finally arrived at Camino War after a couple of hours. 

"So this is Camino Ward?" Izuku said.

"It's so crowded," Shouto said.

"Those villains are hiding somewhere in this city.  JUST TELL ME WHERE THEY ARE!" Kirashima yelled running in a random direction.

"Hold on," I said grabbing the back of Kirashima's shirt," Let's listen to our navigator."

"Alright......for now on we need to be extremely careful.  These criminals already know what we look like.  Remember?  We have to consider we could be attacked at any moment," Yoayorazu said.
