Sadie's POV
I look around frantically, realizing I don't even know what Casey's car looks like. I look into the drivers seat of every car that passes, until I see it.
Dropping my bags and Rufus's leash and running to the front seat of the grey SUV, she opens the door and meets me halfway there. Wrapping our arms eachother and rocking back and forth, I realize this is something I missed so much, something I've been deprived of for two years.
Neither of us shed a tear, but it's still a very emotional moment. We've been apart for two years and now we're reunited. We finally let go of eachother, and I step back to look at her. I've seen on facetime calls that she's dyed the ends of her hair pink, but it looks even more defined in person.
She's changed a lot since I last saw her in person. She used to have shoulder length brown hair, and now she has semi-long brown hair with pink ends. She looks extremely tired, but then again, she always does.
There's a really huge grin on her face, and I'm pretty sure there's one on mine too. This is the happiest I've been in a while, and now that I'm with her I'm gonna set my fears aside and have a good time with my best friend.
She helps me put my bags in the back of her car and we talk the whole time. I climb into the passenger seat and continue talking to her, and she talks about some people in LA she wants me to meet.
She doesn't have a third roommate, and she says she's not really looking for one at the moment because occasionally a friend named jazz stays and uses one of the bedrooms to crash in.
We drive from LAX into the downtown part of LA, into a huge parking deck that has lots of apartments on top of it, and it's the first time I've ever seen something like this, but then again Wyoming is small and doesn't have many downtown areas like this.
We get out and I grab two of my bags and she grabs to of mine, and she leads me to an elevator in the parking deck. We continue to talk about how things have changed back at home and how things have changed for her in her life.
Casey presses the 14th floor and it's rather surprising, I don't think I've ever been in a building this tall before. She pulls a key ring out of her pocket once we walk down a hallway, and unlocks a door. I guess you could say I'm semi-nervous to go in, probably because this is going to be my new home and I'm anticipating it.
She walks in and I follow, and I must say, I'm rather surprised at how neat her apartment is. It's heavily furnished but everything is really neat and in place, when she lived back at home she was one of the messiest people I knew.
"Soooo, do you like it?" She asks, turning to me with a huge grin, just like the one she had earlier when she picked me up from the airport.
"I love it, it's really spacious and neat." I say, looking around and admiring the kitchen and living room. She opens a door and leads me into a bare room, and apologetically looks at me and sighs.
"I'm so sorry about not having any furniture, but I painted it blue for you and we can go get some as soon as you're ready." She says, looking like she genuinely feels bad for it.
I put my bags down in the bare room, scanning the walls. The room has one window on one of the walls and it's a decent size, it would look really cute with yellow or pink curtains. Earlier Casey had told me how there's an Ikea nearby and we could go shortly after getting settled in.
I take Rufus's leash off of him, and he lays down in the corner of the room, minding his own business like the good dog he is. He seems a little bit tired from the plane ride by chance.
