There was a stanza stenciled on the back of Calum's sixth grade bookmark that read,

"Love should grow up like a wild iris in the fields,
unexpected, after a terrible storm.
"

As a boy who was forever confused with love, he took the line to heart, and brought
it as he went through asking out his first girlfriend, as he broke up with her,
as he convinced himself for the first time that he's in love,
and as he went to New Zealand for his seventeenth summer where he met a girl who
told him the true meaning of what he thought he believed in.

Ollie Wilson taught Calum than love doesn't come in spontaneously
and transcends you. It isn't invigorating or addicting.

Love's found in the kitchen when your mum prepares you dinner, or when
your grandfather makes you a cup of tea, or when your best friend spends a
day with you sat in the trees while combing her fingers through your hair.

A somber story of a boy who likes to listen to his head more than his heart,
a girl who tends to listen to her heart more than her head,
and how they're simultaneously trying to look for the true sense of where irises grow.
