Disclaimer; I do not own Fairy Tail. If I did, Nalu, Gruvia, Gale and Jerza would have been canon ages ago. It belongs to Hiro Mashima.
I decided to publish this one, so please don't be mean. It makes me nervous, but I will accept constructive criticism. That I can handle. Anyway, enjoy.
Lucy POV
I walked down the road to Fairy Tail this morning by myself. Happy and Natsu were nowhere to be found today, and I'd be lying if I said it didn't worry me a little.
"Lu-chan!" Levy greeted when I walked in, flouncing over to me with her wild blue hair sailing behind her.
"Levy-chan!" I smiled at the other bookworm brightly.
"You're alone?" Levy paused at the unusual sight of me walking in by myself.
"I don't know where the boys are today. Anyway, you looked excited. Why?" I tilted my head at the very excited girl. I'd die before admitting it, but she sometimes reminded me of a puppy.
"Well, Master said there is going to be a competition. Best part about it? It's a singing competition! We have base tryouts, where we perform by ourselves for a panel of judges. After that, we are put in groups that have to compete against each other, almost like bands. Then we're put in duos for duets, and finally we compete individually again. The winner gets 1 million Jewel! How crazy is that?" She squealed excitedly.
"So, is it just amongst Fairy Tail?" I asked, noticing that the entire guild was happily chatting about it.
"No. There are tryouts being held right now to see what people from different guilds get to also compete. Sorcerer Weekly asked us all to do it!" She giggled, toying with the side of her bright headband, something she was prone to doing when excited.
"Wow! That sounds amazing! When are our tryouts?" I asked slowly.
"Today. They start in an hour! There's a list you have to sign. We'll go in order from how we sign!" She nodded over to the job board, which was now completely taken up by papers with names signed on them. The entire guild must be competing! Not about to be outdone when I saw all of my teammates on there, I signed the very last spot.
"Wow! You'll have lots of time to prepare! I can't wait to hear everyone!" Levy jumped around excitedly. Wendy raced over.
"Lucy-san! I need your help!" She looked panicked.
"What is it, Wen?" I was immediately right next to her as she panted.
"I don't have anything nice to wear for the auditions!" She begged with her eyes. I giggled.
"Well, this is a catastrophe! We need to go on an emergency shopping trip RIGHT NOW!" I dragged her out of the guild.
"Thank you, Lucy-san!" She beamed.
"You can drop the honorifics, Wen. You're family." I smiled back.
"Then, can I call you Lucy-nee?" She asked, her eyes blown wide in excitement. I felt my heart melt a little at the innocence of the younger girl.
"I like the sound of that...... imoto." I said lightly. She practically glowed in happiness.
"Then you have to get something too. Lucy-nee! I'll pick it for you! You pick for me!" She beamed, excitedly running into a dress store. I giggled and followed quickly. I greeted the lady at the sales counter before going to browse around the smaller girl's section. I found this cute white slip dress with a light blue jean jacket that I thought would fit Wendy wonderfully! I picked it up and went to bring it to her. She had already chosen a dress for me too, apparently, because she came running excitedly towards me with a beautiful dress in hand. I giggled as she stopped in front of me and we traded. She raced into one changing room and I went into another to see how the beautiful dress fit. It was a red teacup dress that flowed like water with it's silky material and looked like fire when I spun.
