1. Seeing an old face.

"I'm a lady! I shouldn't be doing this anyway!"

I puffed my cheeks and crossed my arms.
My 'friends' sat around me and snickered.

" you sure don't act like one! Come on~ touch it already, chicken!"

My friend Angelo said sitting on his chair smiling down at us.
Currently I'm at his house, for his birthday, with his younger brother and our friend.

" I-I'm not a chicken! And take that back!"

I pointed at Angelo angry.
Our other friend, Corteo, patted my shoulder and said calmly.

" it's ok (y/n), you're right you are a lady, we shouldn't pressure you..."

For some reason that just made me more angry.
I pushed Corteo hand off me and held the candle, which we lit, and were attempting to put out with our fingers.

" I can do it!"

"Go (y/n)!"

Angelos younger brother, Luce shouted with excitement.
I started to sweat and held my finger up to the light.
Everyone went silent. I moved my finger closer but pulled away a little when I felt the warmth.
I'm gonna get burned.
This will hurt...
I will- eh?
I watched as Angelo bent down and put out the light with his fingers.
I sat there shocked and amazed.
Corteo looked at him in shock too.
We just couldn't believe it.

"Wow, was it hot!"

Luce shouted while looking at his big brother impressed.

" no, not at all!"

He turned to me and stuck his tongue out.
I blushed and looked away angrily.
We heard Corteo laugh while he stood up.

" I should be heading home now."

Luce protested.

" no, let's have cake first..."

"Maybe next time."

I also whined.
I held his hand, while I was still on the ground looking up at him.

" do you really have to go, we were having so much fun..."

I gave Angelo a look and said.

" and I'm not ready to handle him alone, you make things bearable when you're here..."

Angelo gave me a teasing face and I returned one back.

" maybe next time (y/n), I have to go home and check on mom.."

I smiled, I knew that, it's just I don't see him that much anymore.
I stood up and watched him get dressed while mrs. Lagusa, angelos and Luce mom, gave him a few things. And he walked out. Angelo stood up.

" stay here, I'm gonna say my goodbyes."

I nodded.

" hey (y/n)! Did you see brother do that! Wasn't it amazing!"

I bent back down to Luce and nodded.

" yeahhh, I guess so, he's too much of a show off."

I puffed my cheeks.

" hey! I want to see Corteo off too!"

I smiled and held Luce hand and walked to the door.
Angelo saw us approaching and smiled.
We stood at the door and watched as Corteo gave us a smile and walked out with Angelo.

" bye!"

"Bye Luce, (y/n)"

" be safe Corteo, and tell your mother I say hello."
