prologue

It was about 7 am on a sunny Monday morning. Seulgi rubbed her eyes and stayed in bed a little more until she finally got the courage to crawl out. She slipped her feet into the slippers she had next to her bed and walked into the bathroom connected to the room.

Turning on the water faucet, she splashed some water onto her face before starting her skincare routine. After she finished, she walked back into her room and quickly slipped on a black t-shirt and some blue jeans. As she walked past her mirror, she quickly adjusted the wig that sat on top of her head, after slipping on some sneakers. Seulgi sprayed on some men's cologne that she had bought not too long ago. She got her bag and took a deep breath before getting out of her room.

This was Seulgi's first day of senior year at her new school after moving back from the states. She's currently living with her older brother Jaehyun, who is a very famous chef in korea. Seulgi decided to move back to Korea after spending the last five years of her life in California with her parents. Only her brother knew her secret. No one else knows about the soccer-loving Seulgi, who is faking her identity just to be able to play on the soccer team. Her brother managed to be able to change Seulgi's gender on the school's system due to the ties he has.

As Seulgi walked down the stairs of their home, she saw Jaehyun already up and cooking in the kitchen.

Probably some new recipe for his restaurant. Seulgi thought.

"Glad you're up Seul, I need you to try this for me." In a split second, Seulgi felt the shoving of a spoon in her mouth. That threw her off, so she slapped his hand away, resulting him to chuckle. This was the usual, Jaehyun cooking up something and forcing me to try his delicious 5-star food.

"Tastes like my ass." She throws the spoon back at him and gets an energy drink from the fridge to take to school. Jaehyun mocked her in a high-pitched voice and hit the side of her head.

"Yah! You're ruining it." Referring to her wig and cap, Seulgi made sure it looked extra perfect today for her first day. She basically bought a whole new wardrobe to wear for the rest of the year, and borrowed some things from Jaehyun's closet, not too much due to the difference in body scale they had. Seulgi expected to get clowned for her so-called 'lanky' boy body, in the words of Jaehyun and a few of the soccer boys she befriended over the summer.

For the past few months, she had already gone to school for soccer conditioning, so she has already built up a relationship with the boys. Especially with the captain of the soccer team, Lee Taeyong. Let's just say she's developed a little too much feelings for him, but she is a master at hiding it, of course for her sake.

"Call me if anything goes wrong, okay? You know I've always got your back." Jaehyun pulled her into a quick hug and kissed her forehead. Seulgi was reluctant at first, but soon warmed up to the hug. Seulgi nodded and quickly waved goodbye, and there she went out the door.

hi everyone! this is a mini first look into this au, im not sure if anyone is going to read this at all but if you do, thank you! i haven't wrote in a fic in a while, or even a seulrene/sunseul fic at all so bear with me!! also quick little disclaimer, as you can see i wrote that seulgi has a little crush on taeyong (yes it used to be chanyeol now its taeyong), i just wanted to let you all know seulgi has no label on her sexuality, she doesn't think of herself as lesbian, or bisexual, she still believes she's straight but we all know how that's gonna change. I guess you can say she's a bit confused once her female love interests start coming into the book therefore i will not be putting a label on seulgi until the book has developed more. i really hope this doesn't make you lose interest in reading this au and thank you for even reading this... if you do. see you next time
