---Tide's POV---

--- Time lapse to 4 years later---

    Tide woke up. He couldn't sleep. It was so late but he had something in his mind. Something that tingled him. Like crazy. It was the project from the history teacher, Webs. He said, "Make a project that shows the fight of the scavenger and the sandwing queen, Oasis." Most of the dragonets in his den decided to do the project, alone. He eventually paired up with Blizzard, the most laziest dragonet ever. Yep. He was all, circle this, circle that, grade this, grade that. All he knew and wanted to know was about fighting. Yep. He only paid attention to Tsunami, for she was good, really good at fighting. And she had moves that were basically top secret and any normal dragon won't know.

    Blizzard was always jealous at him because he was the son of the "great" Tsunami and "awesome" Riptide. Tide thought about all this when he heard Firefly twisting and turning, possibly having a nightmare. Tide smiled and looked at her. She was so pretty. Beautiful. Gorgeous, even. She had the eyes of her mother, Glory. Glory was famous for being the queen of 2 tribes and the dragonets of destiny thing. She was famous for her beauty in the school. Meanwhile, her dad was a dragon with a body that was hard as steel. Possibly the kind that Tide wanted.

    He sighed and started looking at Firefly. She was always so lovely. He bent down lower to Firefly. He could feel the heat of her. "Ewww..." He zipped around to see who it was and then tensed to see... Queen Glory! "Yo-You-Your Majesty?" "Oh. Hi. Sorry to disturb you." "How'd you- Wait... did you see the whole thing?" "Yes, I saw the whole thing. You were real close to my daughter." A million thoughts spun inside his head. "I-I wasn't-no..." "Tide." Glory said calmly, taking a deep breath before continuing. "Do you...love my daughter?" "Ma'am, I, this feeling is hard to explain..." "You do, don't you?" Tide nervously looked around. "It's okay, you're in a dream. I'm dream visiting you." "What?" 

    "You heard what I said. Now, do you love Firefly or not." "Well... the thing is, I kinda do have feelings for her." "Good. Take care of her, will you?" "What do you mean?" "Will you or not?" "I will your majesty. I will... yes... I will." "Thank you." "Wait, what do you mean? You're there for her, aren't you?" "Look... I find it hard, to, bear these... accidents." "What do you-" "Assasination attempts, a few of them happened over the last few weeks. The numbers are growing. And, I'm worried. Not me. Her." She said looking at Firefly sadly. "What do you mean? Tsunami and even Peril is in the school." "I... I don't think Deathbringer nor my guards will be strong enough to cover... the last attempt." "What?" 

    "I know I'll die soon, because of those attempts. It's getting more powerful. No matter how many guards I put, most of them get hurt. I can't let any more of my subjects die." Glory said, drooping down. "Now, listen. Whatever you do, be next to my daughter. Don't leave her alone." "I... I will." "Now, I'm not that kind of dragon but, Tide, I will grant you the permission to be my daughter's future mate." "Wha?" "I'm sorry, got a little too far there." She said, giggling. "Now, you promised you'd be next to her." "Yes ma'am." "Thank you, Tide." "You're welcome." "Tide...tide..tide..." a voice whispered. "That's my girl." Glory said smiling. "Now, go along." Glory waved at him. Tide was shook awake, to see Firefly shaking him. 

    "What is it?" He said. "Let's go." "Where?" "You said to go to the library early, together." "Oh." He remembered. He was going to tell her. The truth. "Yeah, lets go." Tide said, gathering himself up and walking out. "Um... Firefly?" "Yeah?" Firefly said turning to him. Her scales changed color, pink. Wait... pink? "Tide?" "Oh yeah...um.... actually... you know, the first day of school?" "Yeah." "I... I... had...a...crushonyou." He hurrily said, his tongue barely moving. "Oh. Me too..." Firefly said, blushing. "So... are we dating?" "Why...why not?" "Did someone say dating?!" Kinkajou popped out, dancing and prancing. "Ack!" They both screamed. "Oh. Sorry. Are you 2 dating?" Nervously, the 2 started exchanging glances. 

    "NO!" Firefly mouthed. "Um... no." "Kinkajou? You okay? You seem to hear something wrong?" Firefly said, wearing a fake worried expression. "Oh? Guess I heard something wrong. I guess I should go check on Ladybug." Kinkajou passed after that, leaving the 2 of them alone again. "You know what Tide?" "What?" "I can't wait to see mom and dad, after all, we're going to have a student parent meeting 2 weeks later, right?" "Yeah..." Tide said, looking down. "I hope Glory holds on until then." He thought.
