Chapter 3

hansol's father's phone rang

"hello?" he spoke into the phone

"oh yea, oh sure okay, she can stay as long as u need her to... yea it's no problem"

at that moment, i knew it was my mother on the phone, oh no what could she possibly have said sjdsjd. after a while, hansol's dad finally hung up. he had a concerned look plastered on his face. "what's wrong?" hansol's mum approached him and then they walked into another room to talk. i was really curious. 

"hey y/n ! let's go out to the back yard and play some soccer !!" instantly all my thoughts and worries passed and i went out with hansol to play. we had so much fun, we played soccer for about an hour or so. "OH NO u kicked it into the pool!!" i screamed. now the ball was bobbing around in the middle of the pool and the only way to get it out was by going in.

"you go in, since u kicked it in" I said to hansol. Hansol shook his head, refusing to even go in. in the distance i saw a broom stick ! it was like a lightbulb lit above my head, " we can use the broom to push it nearer to the side !!" hansol ran and took the broom and passed it to me. I stood at the edge of the pool and leaned forward, trying to lean forward enough to poke the ball towards hansol.

"AHHHHHHH" at that second, i leaned forward way too much and fell in, ohno i was all wet ! behind me i heard hansol laughing. with a cheeky smirk on my face i told hansol to take the ball from me before i got out. as he approached me, i grabbed his arm and pulled him into the pool with me. "Y/N u suck why would u do that hmphh" he had a cheeky frown on his face. after that we just swam around and threw the ball around. well that was a fun afternoon.

suddenly, hansol's mother came out of the house and called me. "Y/N u might be staying with us a little permanently because your fathers been in a court case and your mother is a victim and she's in court all day because she has to help testify. she is really sorry she cant be there but shes protecting u and her from ur father. but for now u'll just be here with us ok ?" i stared at the empty space between me and hansol's mum for a while. I mean i loved staying here and being with hansol but was my mum ok? but i nodded and smiled, i was ok with it just worried.

later on,  hansol and i washed up and it was around dinner time and we watched a movie while eating mac and cheese.

another 7 to 8 months passed and we had such a great time together every single day. from going to the movies after school or going to the circus or the zoo or even theme parks. I had so many great memories with hansol and his family, it was literally so fun and hansol was always there, and he was my best friend that i could always depend on.

1 year later

"hey thank you so much for taking care of her ! the case has been closed and we're all back on our feet and her father is no longer staying with us. im eternally greatful thank you for all this i dont know how to repay you ..." i peered from the corner as my mum talked to hansol's parents. I didnt want to leave but i missed my mum. i jumped out from behind the wall with hansol to greet my mum. i ran into her arms,, i missed her so much.

after a long conversation, my mum was ready to take me home and i gave hansol and his mum and dad big hugs. "im gonna miss seeing u every day y/n" hansol said almost tearing up.

"HAHAH Y/N can come over any time u like" hansol's mum said and i smiled.

"and hansol can spend time with y/n anytime ! he's welcome to " my mother said and we all smiled. just before i left i gave him a big hug again and said "see you in school tomorrow !!"

FAST FORWARD

for the next 4 years hansol and i would spend almost everyday together and we'd have the best moments ever. we were the bestest of friends, we went to the same school and spent every holiday together. he was like family to me and i didnt know what i would do without him. great news, hansol got a little sister too ! her name was sofia and we took care of her together and sofia became the third person in our little group, from duo to trio. she was still young but we still had amazing fun with her.

as months past, our birthday was approaching which fell on the same day, 18 february. we had planned a party together and we were so ready to have the best 10th birthday ever.
