Love. A word that used to be said on rare occasions.
A word that was difficult to say to another
Without the heart giving great persuasion
If it was not to received by a sister or mother.
But now it leaves the lips with ease,
And is not always said to please
But is said by those who mean to tease
Others hearts to which they know they hold the keys.
It used to take months, years for lovers to say the gracious word,
But now, to be dating for a week and not say it would be absurd.
It leaves lovers lips before they begin understanding
The commitment and loyalty the word is demanding.
And then when the relationship begins to fall apart
They expect this word to hold the whole thing up.
The word has no meaning if the whole thing is based on lust,
Better yet it wouldn’t mean shit cause with lust there is no trust.
The whole thing is just sex, sex, sex
And there’s no real emotion, it’s just a fucking mess.
But they continue to lie and convince each other its love,
Cause to see her with another guy you’d start catching feelin’s and miss her touch.
God forbid you actually feel something for a girl.
Most guys just see us as some pussy and try to bribe us with diamonds and pearls.
And women are just as bad!
Having ass and tits out but when they look, you get mad?
Those head games I don’t understand but you still got the nerve to wonder why you cant keep a man…
It’s an epidemic that’s sweeping the nations.
Probably to do with our generation.
Just a bunch of kids waiting for the real thing in anticipation.
Love.
It’s a word lost in translation.
