Condemnation to the castaway land was the worst punishment anyone could receive; the cursed place has a history long before men began killing one another. The ancestors created this place for the misfits in the communities of the living. At first the place had no barrier, after being cast out one would come to the land on foot it didn't matter how long it would take for them to get there. Back then it was guarded by ogres who were later relieved of the task after the barrier was raised. No castaway is sent on foot again they are just teleported to the gates of hell like place to live there till they die, not eating or drinking.
Water was like poison to them, a drop could turn a castaway to stone instantly. They could literally walk on fire without getting burnt, procreation was the only time passing activity they could engage in and this led to the increase in numbers of the castaway. Eventually the people who were cast out passed and the one's left were their generations that followed, it was a norm to them not to touch anything because it was embedded in their systems. The stories of the world outside the one they knew grew obsolete and were like fiction to them because through the generation the story has been greatly exaggerated. Eventually no one told of those stories, sins of the father greatly affected this people even if they didn't look human.
The communities from the land feared the beings who lived in the castaway land and the opposite was true since the castaways cared so little about the land dwellers. one would think the castaways had no feelings but beneath all the molten rocks covering their bodies they were normal human beings, that being the reason why they clustered in one place at night but not everyone was allowed in the circle if they weren't family. young men had to get married at a young age so as to be part of a family to prevent them from turning to stone during the formation of dew.
You'll agree with me that being cast out of the society, living in exile waiting to finish your breathing minutes, is enough punishment, but worse was waiting for them in the afterlife, even if they could see the future of the living while dead, nothing they could do to affect the outcome of any action not unless they intervene in dreams of the living. that way they could warn the living of things or events to come. All the ancestors of the castaway's stayed in a real that was dark it could swallow the sun and no one would notice it's there. The place was so horrible that there was nowhere to go and nothing to do, it's like a two-dimensional life the only way was forward and backwards no sideways. If hell was back then it would've been envious of this place. The living didn't even dare utter any word associated with this real dreaded by the bad omen that surrounds it.
Nothing could prepare anyone or anything for a realm where you don't die but you are irrelevant to nature itself all you can do is watch as others commit the same mistakes, that were prohibited. Everything has a beginning and one of the ancestors imagined how freedom taste like, although he himself never had it because he was the first child at the castaway community, everyone thought that he would be accepted in the land of the living but no one seemed to care about him simply because a small snake is still a snake, just a matter of time before it grows bigger in length and appetite. He began speaking in the darkness, his voice was like a magnet the way he pulled together all the ancestors of the cursed city.
He spoke like a prophet, his words inspired sone of the cursed ancestors to begin a rebellion for freedom. Although he couldn't see them but the changings of war from each ancestors' land of birth could tell it all. He spoke his name out loud saying " I am Koitalel son of Samoei, first seed of the castaway land". As soon as he finished screams loud enough to make a black hole could be heard in the Golden city. This is how the plan to obliterate the living from the face of the earth was conceptualised. As soon as the plot was already underway Syokimau visited the realm with a light bright enough that it shone through the whole realm.
