You barbarically threw August's iPhone across the room.

It collided with the wall, and similar to your heart, the screen shattered into a million pieces.

You heart was racing, as you bit your lip. Was killing him really worth years in prison? You weren't sure what to do with yourself.

Your face reddened as you stared at August, who was sitting up, watching you with his hands extended out, and his mouth parted open. What? He couldn't come up with a good lie now?

You shook your head, slid off of the bed, and searched for your suitcase. August came after you. "Babeh, lemme explain.." He pleaded, placing his freezing hands on yours, as he tried to pry the suitcase out of your hands. You reached your hand up, and slapped it across his face. The sound echoed off of the marble bathroom walls. You turned away from him, and frantically unzipped the case, throwing in your expensive belongings. "Aye na, don't put ya hands on me." He demanded, as he reached up and massaged the mark that you left. You ignored him, walked into what was no longer your bedroom, and grabbed a handful of jewelry, shoving them into a pouch.

"Can't we talk about dis?" He asked, standing in the corner of the room, eyes locked on you, as he watched the woman that was in his life for more than three years pack her things to leave. His voice became shaky. "Babeh, please. Don't leave me.. I'll change. I swea." You too were on the verge of tears. "Save it, August. There's nothing.." You took a deep breath, trying your hardest to not break down. You were trembling, and it was getting harder and harder to breathe. "There's nothing to talk about." You made the mistake of glancing at August, who had his hand over his mouth, tears streaming down from his soft eyes.

Your legs went weak, and you tumbled to the ground, no longer fighting your tears. Covering your hands with your face, August laid down beside you, as he gently lifted your body into his bony arms, and began to cradle you. "(Your Name), p-please, don't do this ta me.. I.. I love you."
