Fly With Me (a Jonas Brothers adoption story)

Introduction

Hi I'm Delainey Duncan. But I go by Lainey. I'm 9 years old and I've been living at Director Daisy's Orphanage for kids since I was 4.
My mom passed away when I was 3 due to childbirth complications with my little twin brothers, Rowan and Ollie. They are 6 now.
My dad... he ran into a lot of financial troubles and couldn't take care of us. Plus the only money he had was spent on alcohol and drugs.
  My aunts and uncles and grandparents weren't much help either. They were either in jail, rehab, or incapable of taking care of 2 newborns and a toddler at the time. So we were sent over to Miss Daisy. Miss Daisy can be grouchy at times, but that's just because she's an old lady. Most of the time she's really sweet and quite nice though.
I've made a lot of friends with the other kids here. Some of my besties are Emmi, Brynn and Kate. The boys have made friends too. Brock, Logan and Connor.
Most days here go like this:
I'll wake up, get myself ready for the day, go downstairs, help with breakfast, and get my brothers ready. Then we have free time until 11. That's when the orphanage opens and people start coming in. When people come in, they go to the front desk and take to Maggie, the receptionist, and Miss Daisy. They tell them what kind of kiddo they are looking for. Like boy or girl, and the age group. Kinda like a humane society.
But now that I'm 9, I'm starting to loose hope. I've been a foster kid before and I've been thrown in and out of homes for 5 years. Along with my little brothers. I feel bad for them though. They are so young and they don't understand why people don't want them. Sometimes I don't either. But we know we are always welcome at Miss Daisy. The only thing that's been keeping me from giving up is music and singing. I saved up some money from helping out around the orphanage and doing chores. Eventually, Emmi, Kate, Brynn and I all pitched in our money and bought a little guitar and a keyboard. They aren't the nicest, especially because I've had it for nearly 2 years now, but it's a good one for beginners like me. I'm saving up to get a few more things too. I've also started to write songs too. I want to record them too, but I don't know how, and a lot of the songs I've wrote are really personal so I don't know if I'd do anything with them anyway. I don't even think that my singing voice is really that good. But Miss Daisy pays for singing lessons for me and Emmi. I keep telling her she doesn't have to, but she insists .

So I guess life isn't super bad here, but it could be better. I'm still waiting for the perfect family. I hope they will come for us soon.
