It'd been two days since I've gotten the babysitting job, and I was scheduled to go to Magcon with the boys today. I quickly ran outside once I woke up and checked the weather. It was a lot warmer than it had been two days ago, so I decided to wear a simple tank top with jeans. I was about ready to go before my phone buzzed.
Unknown: Hey Mia, it's Nash. I just wanted to let you know that since we're going by bus, it's going to be a while. You're going to want to dress in something comfortable so you can sleep.
I looked down at my outfit and sighed, taking it off. I picked out comfrier clothes and picked up my phone.
Mia: Got it. How'd you get my number?
Nash: You said it out loud at my house.
Mia: Right, right. I forgot about that. Okay, I'll see you in a minute.
Nash: Lol k see you then!
I smiled and tucked my phone in my pocket, grabbing my large black duffle bag and heading out of my room.
"Are you ready, honey?" My mom asked. I smiled and nodded as she walked out to the car. I sat in the passengers seat and turned on the radio, leaning back.
"Are you nervous?" My mom asked.
I shrugged. "Sort of. Now that I know that this is a convention for, like, famous viners, it's a little nerve wracking."
She smiled. "Don't be worried about that. They're just people."
"Oh I know. But fame sometimes goes to people's heads, you know. I just don't want to have to deal with assholes." She nodded.
"I get it. I think you'll be okay. You said Nash seems nice, right?" I nodded.
"Yeah, his whole family's pretty chill."
"That's good." I nodded.
"Yeah, I just hope the rest of the people are like that."
"Who are you rooming with at the hotel?" She asked.
"I think Sky and I get our own room." She nodded, pulling into his driveway.
"Well, have fun honey. Be safe, and don't stress. I love you." She said. I smiled and stepped out of the car.
"Love you too. I'll text you when I get there." She smiled and nodded, waving goodbye. I smiled back and jogged over to the large bus in Nash's driveway and opened the door, seeing Nash and his friend look up at me.
"This is not fucking real." I said, looking around.
Nash and his friend laughed. "Who's this?" The other guy asked.
Nash smiled. "Right, I forget to tell everyone. This is Mia Jacobson, Sky's babysitter. Mia, this is Cameron Dallas." Nash introduced us. I smiled and waved.
"Nice to meet you." He smiled.
"You, too." I looked at Nash.
"What do you want me to do with my bag?" I asked. He held out his hands so I tossed the bag to him and he threw it in the back of the bus.
"You excited?" He asked. I nodded.
"After seeing this? Hell yeah. This is unreal." Nash grinned as I took a seat on the couch across from them.
"Have you met anymore of the Magcon boys?" Cameron asked. I shook my head.
"Well, I mean, Hayes. But other than you three, no." He smiled.
