Feel So Close (Jonathan Quick)

SATURDAY:

So, today I gotta give Jake to Jonathan for the weekend. I go into his bedroom and wake him up. "Jake, wake up baby." I say to him. "Hi mommy." Jake smiles at me. "Hey Jake." I pick him up. I pack clothes in a bag and everything he will need. I dress him in a black Kings t-shirt that says "KOPITAR 11" on the back , jean shorts, and his Nike sneakers. I feed him breakfast quickly. "Mommy? Why aw we wushing?" he wondered, biting into his toast. "Becau--" I am cut off by Jake laughing. "What you laughing at Jake?" I wonder. "I lose teef!" He shows me the piece of toast with his two front top teeth stuck in it. I laugh and take a picture of Jake smiling next to the piece of toast with his teeth still in it. I send it to Drea.

I put my phone in my pocket. Jake tries finishing his breakfast but he can't because he kept saying it hurt too much so, I just gave him ice cream for breakfast. What? There is nothing wrong with ice cream for breakfast, my parents gave me it all the time for breakfast. 

He finishes his ice cream then I grab his backpack, my purse and keys, then head out to the car. I buckle Jake into his car seat and put my purse and his backpack on the seat next to him. I hop in the drivers seat and put on his favorite song Cruise by Florida Georgia Line. 

He sings with the lyrics or at least tries to. The song ended and then random music started playing. Super Bass starts to play and there's curse words which I don't let Jake listen to so, I switch the song. I Don't Want This Night to End by Luke Bryan comes on and Jake sings again. 

I am stuck in traffic for about thirty minutes. It's only 6:30 in the morning and I gotta meet Jonathan at the Staples Center parking lot to drop off Jake at 7:15. "Fuck." I curse. "Mommy! Dollar in the wear jar!" Jake exclaims. "Oh sorry baby. I will put it in there when I get home okay?" I tell him. "Ok mommy." he responded.

Finally, the traffic was gone and I made it to the Staples Center with five minutes to spare. With that five minutes, I talked to Jake and I texted Drea back because she texted me while I was driving. 

DreaGirl: Awe! Now he officially looks like a hockey player!

Jaclyn: Yeah he does haha!

DreaGirl: Whatcha doin today?

Jaclyn: Nothing. I'm alone because Jake's gonna be with Jonathan until Monday morning. 

DreaGirl: Wanna do some shopping with me then maybe hit the Kings game tomorrow night?

Jaclyn: Yeah sounds fun!

DreaGirl: Stop by here when you're done with your baby daddy k?

Jaclyn: Haha okay.

DreaGirl: TTYL!

I see Jonathan pull into the parking lot. I get out of my car and get Jake out, put him on the ground because he can obviously walk. I get his backpack and his carseat out, then shut the door. "Jakey, who's that?" I ask him. "Daddy!" Jake runs over to Jonathan and Jonathan picks him up. "Hey Jaclyn." he said. "Hey." I responded. "Mommy! I wuv you!" Jake tells me. "Love you too baby." I kiss his forehead. Jonathan puts Jake down and I give him Jake's backpack and carseat. I lift Jake up. "Be good for daddy, okay?" I tell him. "Kay kay mommy." he hugs me. "Love you." I say to him."Wuv you more." he responded. I put him down and let him go with Jonathan. I walk back to my car and open the drivers door and get in. I play my iPod on shuffle. If You Could See Me Now by The Script came on. I love this song alot. I miss Jake already. It's only been a minute. I pull out of the parking lot and head over to Drea's place. 

I park at Drea's building and text her. 

Jaclyn: I'm here!

DreaGirl: Kk. Give me 5 n I will be down. 

Jaclyn: K

Five minutes later, she comes to my car. "Howdy girl!" I say as she gets in. "Hiya bestie!" she laughs, putting on her seatbelt. "Wanna hit Starbucks first, I need coffee." I ask her. "Yeah sure." she smiled. 

Jonathan's POV

"Daddy gess wha?" Jake says. "What buddy?" I ask him, focusing on the road. "I lose teef." he says. "That's awesome Jake!" I responded. "Daddy, why you an mommy no geder?" (Why you and mommy not together) I don't know how to respond to that. "We were but, then we stopped seeing eachother." I told him. "Okay." he responded. "You an mommy back geder doon?" (You and mommy gonna get back together soon?) "I don't know buddy, I don't know." I sighed. "Daddy I wook wike you." Jake giggled. "Yes you do." I grinned because having a son that looks exactly like me is just amazing. 

I took Jake back to my place. Jaclyn gave me a schedule on when to give him naps and when to wake him up in the morning and when to put him to bed. It was about 9:00 in the morning so, it was time for me to put him down for his morning nap. 

"Dustin can I tell you something?" I asked. "Yeah." Dustin replied looking up from his phone. "I just realized after seeing Jaclyn, I still have feelings for her." I admitted. " Go get her! Go tell her that you still love her. Here I will text her right now." he responded. "Dude, how do you know she still likes me back?" I wondered. "Cause I can read her. She's my baby sister.I know what she is like." he said. He started texting her. "Okay she's at her place. Go get your girl, but if you hurt her, then you're dead, got it?" Dustin spoke. "Yeah. Wait, what about Jake, I can't leave him here." I said. "Bro, don't worry, I will stay here with him, just go get your girl." Dustin laughed. "Okay." I grabbed my keys and phone then headed out to my car.

OOOOOHHHHHH!!! PLOT TWIST!!!! HOW MANY OF YOU NEVER WOULD'VE GUESSED DUSTIN BROWN IS JACLYN'S OLDER BROTHER?!
