Petrified, the bearded business man staggered back, pure anxiety trudging down his face in salty droplets. His quivering leg unconsciously squashed his best friend's lifeless body, and he reminisced over the irreplaceable times they had experienced together. The persistent barking of his best friend penetrated through his unstable mind, reminding him of the numerous times he tried to shove his dog in the oven to make a "hot dog".

The heavy rattling of the metal door diverted the translucent blob's attention. Two armed policemen barged in, trampling over the countless dead bodies with their pink rifles. "Stop right there you murderer," one of them aimed at the floating purple mass, "We're with the FBI. Don't try and resist. It's futile." Blob showed no sign of surrendering to such mere humans. He only wanted to be their friends. Gradually, his body rigidly turned to face the newcomers like a robot. The smile on his face expanded and filled up more than half of his face.

The two policemen's men grew wide, cursing under their breath and muttering about how creepy the murderer looked. "Look Shoe! Look!" the blob exuberantly exclaimed, "We've got visitors! Do you think they want to be my friend?" The sturdy Shoe in Blob's stumped hand nodded like he usually did. Blob smiled and flashed the Asian-like eyes he stole from his deceased Chinese friend. Shoe was there when Blob was lost 999 years ago in a trash can. Surprisingly, Shoe had never left Blob's side and would always will be his best friend.

Blob felt a forceful, familiar gust of air rush through his body before realising that the humans were trying to kill him again. The bullet resounded throughout the tall building as it collided with the glass behind him. The policemen's gun immediately slipped to the ground as he realised there was no way for him to take down someone so invincible. His partner carried only a little more faith than he did, begging for him to rise up and try again. "Heh. Pathetic humans. Just shut up you walking pieces of trash. Go to hell," Blob remarked in a sinister tone. A concentrated beam of fluorescent light shot through the air and through the depressed policeman's arm. Blood flowed out like a rushing waterfall as he vehemently cried for mercy, his pupils convulsing with madness and his mind slowly losing every drop of saneness. His partner lost his sense of hope and darted out of the room in dread, leaving behind the man who he once played Barbie dolls with.

Blob effortlessly floated towards the insane human who was spluttering thick crimson liquid everywhere, helping to further decorate the room with human life. "You may say that I can't feel such physical pain, but I can. And let me tell you, the emotional pain one suffers through is way more painful than what you're going through now. So, how did it feel when your friend abandoned you just then? Nice isn't it?" Blob attempted to coax the restless man. "But don't worry now. You can be my friend forever. You can rest inside me, and be happy. No more pain." The policeman's fading eyes longingly gazed upon the welcoming Blob and having no other choice, accepted him to help fill the void of his now empty heart. Blob reached out to touch the man and slowly sucked out his soul before stuffing it in his soul storage space, where 665 of his "friends" were now residing.

"Well now," Blob smiled, "That makes 666 friends including you. Isn't that right, Shoe?" They made quick work of the fainted businessman and happily danced out of the building, discussing where they would meet their next friends.
