Chapter 4

Alex: What's the bad news?
Doctor: April has to stay in the hospital for 12 months now.
Carlos: THAT'S AN ENTIRE YEAR!!!!!!
Doctor: Yes, I know that.
Carlos: Oh my gosh. She hasn't known me for that long and she doesn't know how much I care about her.
Doctor: We turned your visiting hours to 2 hours instead of one.
Carlos: 2 hours once every week, for a year. That's not enough. I need to see her everyday.
Doctor: I'm sorry but you'll have to deal with it. Me and the rest of my team we'll be working on how to wake them up.
Alex: But April woke up.
Carlos: She did?
Doctor: Yes, but she couldn't feel her legs, then she started seizing.
Alex: But she still woke up.
Doctor: I have to do some work. *Walks to his office*
Carlo's: But she wouldn't have been able to use her legs. If she can't use her legs how are we supposed to take long walks on the beach together. Actually it doesn't matter. It's never gonna happen.
Alex: She said the same thing about someone.
Carlos: It's definitely not me.
Alex: You don't know that.
Carlos: Yes, I do. I'm not her type.
Alex: You don't know that.
Carlos: Alex, yes, I do. Her type is smart guys.
Alex: You're smart.
Carlos: I'm failing 2 classes.
Alex: That doesn't mean you're not smart. It could just mean your not doing your work.
Carlos: No, Alex. I'm just to damb for her. She likes guys like Jacob. He passes all his classes the entire school year. I'm nothing like that.
Alex: You never know.

*A few minutes later*

Dj: *walks in* Hey. Is April ok?
Carlos: Wouldn't you like to know.
DJ: Yes. That's why I asked.
Alex: She's going to be in the hospital for a year.
DJ: A year? What happened?
Carlos: None of your d**n business.
DJ: I just wanna know what Happened.
Carlos: I don't care. I don't even know what you're here.
DJ: I'm here because I care about April.
Carlos: Are you f***ing kidding me? You know d**n well you don't give a f**k about April.
Alex: Yo, chill.
Carlos: He need to chill. I'm not the one who broke her heart.
DJ: *smacks his teeth* Man. I didn't break her heart. She was fine.
Carlos: You played with her feelings then broke her heart.
DJ: All I did was protect myself.
Carlos: From what. After all of that all you had to do was apology and forgive her for the littlest thing but no, you wanted to be difficult.
DJ: I ain't even do nothing.
Carlos: WHAT YOU MEAN "You ain't do nothing"? B***H YOU KNOW EXACTLY WHAT THE F**K YOU DID.
Alex: What did he do?
Carlos: I forgot you were new at school. So, April liked him and he new she liked him. But instead of telling her he didn't like her like that, he decides to lie and tell her friend, Ashley, that he did like her back. So, Ashley told April of course, and DJ kept going with the lie. He was lying to her for an entire year, then summer break came. In the middle of Summer break, Ashley gives DJ April's number and DJ calls April pretending that it's Ashley. April knows it's DJ so, she gives Dj's number to her new friend, Sara, and DJ and Sara started texting. Sara was sending screenshots of their conversation and DJ slipped up and told Sara that he never really liked April. He said, he was just lying so Ashley wouldn't beat his a**. April was going off on him and she called him a b***h, then DJ got all mad and said that April's in the wrong. I don't know why, but she was trying to get him to forgive her, but then she realized, she wasn't in the wrong. So, she forgave him but he didn't forgive her. So, after that they never talked. A few years pass and April got super hot, "like wow oh my God", hot and now he want to talk to her.
Alex: Well, d**n.
Carlos: Yeah. So, he really has no right to be here.
DJ: I have all the rights you do. You just mad she don't want you.
Carlos: She don't want to a** either.
DJ: At least she knows who I am.
Carlos: Get the f**k out. Get out.
DJ: I don't need to. I want to see April.
Carlos: She definitely don't want to see you.
DJ: She's Unconscious. She can't even hear me.
Alex: You don't know that. Now,eave like he said.
DJ: Why don't y'all leave
Carlos: I'm not leaving because I actually love April. You're just here because..... Why are you here?
DJ: None of your business.
Carlos: It is my business.
DJ: No, it's not.
Cathy: Visiting hours are over. Please exit the building.
Everyone: *leaves*

*In the Parking Lot*
DJ: 'I really wanted to tell her. Even if she couldn't hear me.'

*At Carlos and Alex's house*

Carlos: Ugh. DJ is a sick person.
Alex: You're not wrong.
Carlos: I know I'm not.
Alex: I kind of feel bad for him.
Carlos: Why?
Alex: Because, April isn't giving him another chance.
Carlos: He had another chance when she asked him to forgive her for something super small.
Alex: You right.

*Wednesday Same Place*

April's Mom: *😭* I'm so sorry baby. I'm gon figure out who did this to you and They're gonna pay.

*Thursday*

Carlos: *sits by April's bed* Man, do I have a story to tell you. *1 hour later* The only reason why I hate DJ more than you do is because he hurt the girl I love. April Scott, I love you and I will never stop loving you because you are an amazing person. *Lightly chuckles* The weird thing is, you don't even know who I am.

*An hour later*

Cathy: I have to ask you to leave.
Carlos: Ok.
Cathy: Why didn't you leave yet?
Carlos: 'I know exactly what April would say to that question.' Because you didn't ask me yet.
Cathy: I did ask you.
Carlos: No, you told me you were going to and I'm waiting for you to ask me.
Cathy: *sighs* Can you please leave the hospital?
Carlos: Bye April. See, you next week. *Leaves*
