Walking by the street in the morning and I see people running!
Trying to make ends meet and I see the landlord warning!
House rent, water bills, gas refills, hope you know its almost month end!

The Federal Capital is worse, no sugar coating, no sweet talks!
Delivery agents on their bikes just to meet deadlines on their package!
Taxis on their grind just to beat the traffic warden!
Youths on the newspaper stand just to argue coz they jobless!
Marketers on their heels just to hit on all their targets!
Hustlers on their feet, there's no spending without a budget!
Servants on their beds, thinking of when to wake or not! Oh they are CIVIL!
O Ye! Poverty depart from earth with all your energy!
Your Havocs are evident we are fed up we are going to flare up!
Leave and let's live! Flee and let's breath! Your disease won't make men eat!
