"I HATE YOU!" I screeched at my mother as she took my phone off me.

She put it in the back pocket of her jeans and said "You're not going to see or talk to him again"

"I love him mum!" I tried explaining.

"You barely know him.." she sighed.

I went to grab the phone out of her pocket but she placed her hands on my shoulders and with strong force, she held me back. I screamed and shouted, she knew nothing about him and she was stopping me from seeing him.

"I do know him, mum! He loves me! You can't just do this to us!" I broke down.

She sighed again, getting tired of my struggle, "Yes I can, he's not good for you...What would you father say?"

I hesitate for a moment at the mention of my father before I began struggling with her again. "But you're the one that doesn't understand! Mum, he helps me...I need him"

"You've been brainwashed, you don't need him..You need serious help Chloe!" She exclaimed

This got me, I stopped struggling and looked at her "What?"

Tears begun to spill from her luscious emerald eyes as she looked at me "I-I've been trying to think different but everyone keeps saying the same thing...You're not the Chloe your dad used to know, ever since then you've changed...You need help!"

Angry tears flooded out of my eyes, my own mother telling me I need help! "Are you saying I'm going mad?"

"No darling..." She walked towards me and placed her hand on my shoulder, tears staining her cheeks as she looked at me with pity.

She broke down and pulled me into a cold hug "You've already gone"

And that's how we got here now, in the car driving to Broadmoor Mental Asylum. I sat in the back with my headphones in, watching the rain drops race down the window as we waited at the crossing.

I sighed and jerked as the car started to move again, my uncle Tristan and my mum were taking me. I could see my mum turn her head slightly and looking at me from the corner of her eye. I didn't bother creating anymore disturbance so I lay my head on the window waiting for the beginning to the end of my life.

The car finally stopped and I opened my eyes to see a daunting building, the brick walls looked like they would fall apart some time soon and a wire fence surrounding the whole asylum. The place was deserted, nothing or nobody in sight. I took my headphones off and heard my mum and Uncle Tristan talking.

"Will she be safe here?" My mum queried.

"Do you want her to get better?" Uncle Tristan sighed.

"Yes of course, but I don't want her to be unhappy"

I watched as my uncle took hold of my mum's hands and gave a frail smile "She's not been happy since Fraser died"

Mum looked down and then at me, I stared at her as she gave me a feeble smile "You ready?"

I looked back out the window at the water falling from the sky, drip by boring drip. With little effort I stepped out of the car, the rain soaking me straight away. My long brunette hair grasping onto my body as I stood there, my mum jumped out "Chloe, you're getting drenched"

"But isn't this what people like me are meant to do? Stand and do stupid shit like this?"

I could see the hurt in her eyes as she answered me "People like you?"

"The insane ones"

She sighed, "Baby, you're no-"

"Then why am i here? Why am I coming to a mental asylum if I'm not fucking insane?"
