jaime. she was a girl around the age of 14. she had extravagant brown hair that fell neatly to her shoulders and the most striking ocean blue eyes. yes, she was pretty and she was loved by a magnificent boy named oliver. he had silky black hair that was always neatly gelled and combed to the side, his skin was lightly tanned and his eyes were the most gorgeous hazel colour that jaime had ever seen.
jaime sat inside the classroom. her skin kept crawling and sticking to the chair because of the heat and the lack of air conditioning. she drifted her pen across the paper as she tucked a strand of her silky brown hair behind her ear.
"Jaime! what's the square root of 81?" the teacher, mrs crawley. she had always hated her. she was vile and always spat when she spoke, that's what jaime sat at the back because if you were sat right at the front it was like a waterfall.
"uhhh, 81?" jaime shrugged and bowed her head down to her paper. she was just writing nonsense that she didn't understand. this was the way that most of her lessons went.
"extraordinary!" jaime was always treated like a baby, it was like she had finally reached the peak of her existence and that she should just crawl back into her little hole of embarrassment.
finally! the bell rang and jaime sprung from her seat and raced for the door until she bumped into an extended arm.
"sit down jaime. we have homework" mrs crawley has a stern look on her face and jaime trailed back to her seat slowly.
jaime copied the homework assignment off the board and finally closed her note book, chucked it into her handbag. she finally managed to escape science and get to lunch with enough time to spare for some gossip and phone time.
oliver was waiting at the other end of grounds, he started jogging and then slowly built speed until he had reached the peak and was now sprinting. he held his thick, muscular arms out and ran straight towards jaime. jaime held her skinny but surprisingly strong arms out and wrapped them slowly around his neck.
whenever jaime was with oliver it felt like the whole world had faded and that they were the only two people left in the world and honestly? that's the way she likes it. when there are no other people or girls to distract her or mainly oliver. jaime extended her neck and gently placed a kiss onto oliver's cheek as she was now standing the tips of her toes.
they both soon realised that they were in the way of people and soon broke the hug. they looked around awkwardly as everyone casted them a look of disgust in jealously.
they walked up to the back of the playground together, fingers interlocked. jaime moved her hair to the left side of her neck as she placed her back higher on her shoulder.
they reached the rusty old, black bench and gently sat down. Jaime reached inside of her black velvet back and grabbed out her tinned pastel pink lunch box. she took a huge chunk out of her tuna and sweet corn sandwich.
she flashed oliver a smile as she wiped the left over tuna from her mouth.
"so uh, how was class?" oliver asked with slight tension in his voice
"it was okay, i suppose" jaime shrugged as she finished her sandwich
"anything interesting happen?" oliver didn't sound sincere enough
"is everything okay ollie?" jaime turned round and slowly packed her lunch back into her bag
"it's just, i don't think that we are right for each other" jaimes face saddened as she heard those words spoken, the whole world felt like it fell into slow motion and she couldn't stop it .
