Today will be the day that I'm going to University. As I was putting my last shirt in my bag, my sister, Sarah came into my room.
"Where are you going?" She asked, holding her dog, Harla in her arms.
"Oh, University. I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner." I said, zipping up the bag.
"Why didn't you tell me earlier? Now, this is the last time I'll see you until you come back." She madly and sadly said, putting her dog down on the floor.
"I'm sorry, I just had too many things running on my mind," I said, putting my backpack on.
"I'll make sure to face time you," I said, hugging her.
She hugged me back, still looking frustrated. I noticed she was still mad, so I kissed her on the cheek.
"I'll miss you, sis," I said, hugging her again.
"I will too." She said, smiling.
I noticed her eyes started to get tears in her eyes, so I wiped them.
"Don't cry, you know I'll facetime you often," I said.
"I know, I'm just gonna miss you." She frowned.
"I'll miss you too," I said, and then hugged her and kissed her forehead.
"Bye, sis!" She said, and then went back into her room.
I saw my dad smiling and crying waiting for me at the front door.
"I'm so proud of you, Juli." He said, hugging me and kissing me.
"I am too," I said, smiling.
I wiped his tear and kissed his cheek.
"You're the reason I'm here now," I said, hugging him again.
"Thank you, sweetie. I love you!" He said, and then I went outside and got into my car.
I was smiling the whole time.
