[WP] A woman agrees to sell her first-born child to a witch for great riches and incredible luck. Beforehand, however, the woman made a deal with a demon. Have the demon's child, and in return, gain eternal life. 9 months later, the demon and the witch meet in the maternity ward.
Looking at the child in front of me was something I never thought I'd see the day of.
My own child.
Granted, making a deal that inevitably left this child motherless was the downside to it, but I was more than ecstatic to see that my daughter had been born well without any complications. After all, the supernatural hybrids have never been able to be a complete walk in the park.
But I loved her with all my heart.
Then, I felt a tap on my shoulder.
"Excuse me sir, but I'm here for Anna Pierre. Do you know where she is?"
My hands went cold, and I suddenly realized why that woman made a deal.
"Fuck"
"Excuse me?"
I turned around to see the witch of every demons worst nightmare.
"Ah, seems like we've both been bamboozled."
Then she started to do the weirdest thing of all, she started to laugh.
"Excuse me but I'm not going to let her go that easily witch!"
She stopped laughing, but her smile never left.
"I mean, she did make a deal with the both of us, and in all honesty, I don't want to fight one of your kind right now, so how about this. We both share custody of the girl. One week for you, and one week for me. After all, you have to go back to hell to give your report to the lion."
I turned over, looking at my beautiful daughter. I want to be in her life all the time. And to be honest, I'm so tempted to kidnap her for myself that I'm postured to just break the glass and take her away. But deals are highly respected in this world, so the only thing I could do was a make a compromise.
"How about this? We share our daughter and hopefully we can both get along on our path to being parents?"
She looked at me, astonished that I would make such a compromise.
"But..."
"I don't serve anyone right now, so I'm more than available for this."
She looked at me, and as time was ticking on, my dread grew more and more. What if she wanted my baby for a spell? What if she wants to make an elaborate contract that will inevitably make her stay with my baby? What if....
"Sure, after all, all the demons don't really come out often, so I'd be willing to live with one. Deal?"
She extends her hand, and by the look on my face, she says "don't worry, no elaborate contract, just an honorable hand shake. For our daughter."
I looked back at her. And without hesitation, I decided to take the best deal that life had decided to give me.
