Practices

Mia's POV:

I woke up and got ready for the day. I wore a black and white striped shirt with tight white, ripped jeans and a black leather jacket. I curled my hair in the restroom while Oliver was in the bedroom. He was wearing a pair of checkered pants and a red sweater with his checkered vans. I wrapped my arms around his neck and said "Aesthetic look today, huh Ollie?" He laughed and smiled and said "Yup!" And kissed me passionately. When we got to school, I saw a flyer saying "SIGN UP FOR THE ANNUAL EDGEWOOD HIGH SCHOOL TALENT SHOW!!! 2 WEEKS!" I looked at it and smiled. Loren came up and said "Are you planning on signing up?" I thought about it and said "Yea. You know what. Maybe I should or maybe both of us. Me and you, Loren. Duet?" Her eyes went big and she said "Mia, that would actually be awesome. You now how to sing?" I smiled and said "No one really knows but I do know how to sing and dance," Loren smiled largely and said "Mia, you are a woman of many, many talents, aren't you? You know how to play volleyball and sing and dance." I said "Well, we would have 2 weeks to prepare." She said "True, we could practice everyday." I smiled and nodded my head. She hugged me and we eventually split when we went to class. During my literature class, I received a message from Loren.

Loren🤪💘: "Hey how about we skip lunch and go into the music room and work on some music?"
Mia💘: "Sounds great! I'll meet you there during lunch."

During lunch, I went to the music room seeing Loren set up everything. I was so amazed when I saw the rom. It had so many music equipment and when I walked in farther, it had a dance studio, which was so huge and had so much space. I figure I should text Oliver that I wouldn't be at lunch so he doesn't get worried about me.

Mia😍💘: "Ollie, I'm not going to be at lunch today. I'm going to be with Loren. Don't worry about me."
Oliver🥰❤️: "Okay. I'll see you later then, babe."
Mia😍💘: "Alright, I love you."
Oliver🥰❤️: "I love you too❤️."

I put my phone in my bag and got ready to start practicing. We started looking for songs to either sing or dance to. We were thinking of choosing to sing a cover of "I Like Me Better" by Lauv or dance to "Hasta Luego" by HRVY but since both of us didn't have comfortable clothes to dance to the song, we decided to try singing. We got the sheet music out. We decided to slit up the song into different parts. After we did, we put the headsets on and played the song and we started singing. (I put the short version of the song because I didn't want to type the whole song. For those wondering the version, it's the Johnny Orlando & Mackenzie Ziegler version.)

Mia:

After singing that last line, both of us took the headphones off and we clapped our hands together and I said "Loren, we did so good!!!" She said "We did, Mia!!" We cleaned up the place. We looked at the time to see that it was only 12:45 and we still had 15 minutes left of lunch. We headed to our lunch table and I sat next to Oliver. He kissed me and said "Where were you?" I said "I was with Loren, practicing some music." Oliver's eyes widen and said "Music??" I said "It's a surprise, Ollie." Oliver said "Alright." and gave me a quick kiss on the lips. After school, we all went home and I started to do some homework. Soon Oliver and I started playing with Sebastian and Mateo and we made a whole bunch of TikTok videos.

-Time Jump To Next Thursday-

Loren's POV:

For the next two weeks, Mia and I have been eating lunch late because we spent most of the lunch period practicing for the talent show. We started to practice dancing to HRVY's song "Hasta Luego" which we were both able to do it perfectly. We came to a conclusion that we would do the dance instead of singing. Tomorrow was Friday, which was the day the talent show is going to be. I was pretty nervous but I calmed myself down. I wore a white crop top with some gray sweatpants that Jesse had gotten me. I braided my hair and drove to school. When lunch came around, I saw Mia already there in a pair of leggings and a loose t-shirt. She was getting the song ready. I hugged her and we stood right in front of the mirror and started dancing and we got it perfectly. We high-fived each other until our principal, Principal Hastings knocked on the door. We turned off the music and walked over to her. She said "Loren, Mia, you guys are participating in the talent show, correct?" We both nodded our heads. She asked "You guys are dancing?" We continued to nod our heads and Principal Hastings said with a proud smile "Well me, the arts teachers, and the judges overheard the music. Specifically, him." And a young man walked in with a smile on his face.
