"TARON!" I yelled to my little sister who was taking forever to get ready. I had just finished tying my apron to go with my uniform.

Apron:

My soon to be 15 year old little sister came down the stairs wearing something I wouldn't even wear as and 18 year old

"Dude! What the hell? You're literally not even 15 yet. What are you doing?" I asked, shocked and scared that my little sister was becoming basic.

"Come on, Chris. I'm just getting ready for my sophomore year of high school. Everyone wears stuff like this. I'm just trying to be normal." I sighed, knowing she was having struggles with making friends since her best friend, Layla, had moved away.

"Look, we'll talk about this later, but I don't have time for this right now. I'm already running late. Just... come on." We jumped in the car and I raced to work. I ran inside with Taron walking slowly behind me. I got my book and put it in my pocket when Taron walked in. Some guy for table 12 whistled at her and she smiled at him. I sighed.

"Rough day already, Christina. It's only 10 am," my best friend, Maddie, said.

"Well, I'm running late. My sister is freaking out about high school and is trying to dress like she's a skank. And boys are now wolf whistling at my 14 year old baby. He's probably like, I don't know, 17, maybe?"

"She's not a baby, Chris. She's growing up. And if you have a problem with that boy, you can tell him because you have tables 1, 8, 5, and 12, this shift."

"On it." I said, walking over to the table of 5 boys and 3 girls. "Hey! Welcome to May Cafe. My name's Christina and I'll be your server today. What can I start you wonderful people off with?" I said with a bright and fake smile.

"Huh." Some girl with blonde hair and pink highlights scoffed. "Fake much?" She rolled her eyes and laughed to the blonde boy next to her, who didn't seem happy with her.

"Don't be rude, Lyss," he said to her.

"That was nice," she spouted back at him. I smiled to the rest of the uncomfortable people sitting at the table.

"What would you like to drink?" I asked the boy with the curly hair sitting at the end of the biggest, circle booth.

"Uh, I'll just take a water, thanks." I wrote his order down in my book at I looked to the darker girl, sitting to his right. She didn't say anything so the boy with the noodle hair called her name. "Gabbie." She looked up to him. "What do you want to drink?"

"Oh, can I get a coffee with whipped cream and a cherry, please?"

"Of, course." I went down the line, one after another. Next was a girl with long, dirty blonde hair. Then the tallest looking one with dark hair. After him was another beautiful boy with the biggest, bluest eyes ever. Then was the rosy cheeked boy that whistled at my sister. Lastly was the blonde boy and his seemingly obnoxious girlfriend.

"I'll take a root beer and Coke mix. Don't fuck it up!" She basically yelled at me. As I was writing down their order, Taron came up to me.

"Hey, sis. Will you grab me a coffee?" I sighed, frustrated that she couldn't wait until I walk away from the table with costumers before asking for a drink. Or just asking Mason. Or anyone else that was just standing at the counter, literally waiting to take her order.

"Since when do you drink coffee?"

"Since now," she said in a 'duh' tone. She looked up with her phone and looked at the rosy cheeked boy. "I'm Taron," she smiled at him.

"Uh, Zach."

"I'm Daniel," the blue eyed boy next to Zach, said.

"And I'm Jonah," the tall one said.

"Tatum, this ones girlfriend" the girl next to Jonah, spoke.

"Gabbie. But you probably already know that." The other girl said.

"Jack-" the noodle head said, before the blonde boy with the bitch interrupted him.

"Or Curly fry." They all laughed, including me and Taron.

"A-ha-ha-ha-he," the bitchy blonde, mocked me.

"Anyway, Alyssa. I'm Corbyn," he smiled at me.

"Well, now that we're all friends," Zach said, eyeing Taron. "How about your number?"

"Oh, yeah-"

"Smooth, really." I said, cutting of Taron. "But uh, she's 14 and you're... not. So..."

"I mean, I'm 15, and I promise I don't bite," he smiled at me.

"Maybe, but you do touch, kiss, and get horny, you know, cause you're 15. So maybe, when she isn't under age."

"Wow! She's not 5. She can do what she wants. Go ahead and give Zach your number, Taron." Alyssa spouted.

"Thank you! And besides, I'm about to be 15, Chris." Taron said. "Anyway, Zach. 213-887-9900," she told everyone. I rolled my eyes and spoke to the table.

"You're drinks will be out in just a minute." I walked away, muttering to myself about how lucky Taron was that I wasn't pulling her all the way home by her ear. I walked over to the kitchen to get all the drinks, bumping arms with Mason.

"Dude, it's not the end of the world," he spoke to me.

"Remind me to rant to you later?"

"Later," we smiled to each other as I walked to the back. I got a tray and grabbed the drinks. I walked back out to the table and put the tray down.

"Alright, one water for Jack. One coffee with whipped cream and one cherry for Gabbie. A water for the lovely Tatum. A extra large coffee with 4 creamers and two sugar packets for the one and only Jonah. A plain water for the blue eyed boy, Daniel. A single ice cubed sprite for the 15 year old Zach. A lemonade for Corbyn. And lastly, a root beer- coke mixture, not fucked up for Miss. Alyssa." I said, handing each of them their drinks.

"I'll be the judge of that," I heard Alyssa mutter.

"Did I get everyone's name right?"

"Yeah. but you forgot my coffee. That's bad costumer service, Christina." Taron said, and I suddenly realized she was sitting in between Corbyn and Zach. I sighed and handed her the coffee of the tray. I took their actual food order and put it in, soon getting it to them and walked back to the cash register for the old couple, ready to pay and leave. They paid and I sat down. My phone buzzed and I pulled it out. It was just a good morning text from my boyfriend, Jackson. As I started to respond, I heard a voice.

"You know, being on your phone when someone is trying to pay you is rude," he said. I looked up to see Corbyn and Jack. Jack laughed and Corbyn smiled.

"Sorry," I said, forcing my phone down to the counter.

"I was joking. Although, we are here to pay you." Corbyn handed me his card and a folded up piece of paper. I swiped his card and smiled at the cute boys. Everyone stood up and walked towards the door.

"I'll text you," Zach said to Taron as they walked out. As soon as they were gone, I put a scowl  on my face and glared at Taron.

"You are in so much trouble. Talk. At home. After this."

"Whatever," she rolled her eyes.
