Lee Gahyeon was nothing more but an ordinary 17 year old girl who spent her days at arcades. It was all she ever did if she wasn't busy playing on her PC, she'd be wasting her money on arcade games that practically stole her money in exchange for one to two minutes of happiness. Of course, that was until she realized that the coins in her pocket had completely disappeared after constantly putting them into the slot.
Gahyeon groaned and checked her pockets for any left over cash, but was only able to find her lollipop instead. The young girl opened the wrapper, plopping the candy into her mouth as the colors of the game flashed "GAME OVER." She ran her hands through her brown locks as she sighed at her sad options since the game was over. She could just go home and play on her PC, but playing alone was no fun. The idea of studying came across her mind, but was immediately stopped.
Gahyeon's eyes continue to stare into the screen of the game until it suddenly shut down. She furrowed her brows as she pulled the lollipop from her mouth and proceeded to smack the side of the machine.
"Hey, I think your game is busted-" Her sentence was cut off as the screen began to turn on again, except with a different name than before. Gahyeon placed the lollipop back into her mouth as she peaked over to read the name of the game. Her eyes read back and forth from the original title to the new screen name.
'Huh, well this is strange,' She thought.
The title of the game was now flashing something that she hadn't ever seen before. She began to think to herself if the machine shared two separate games, but this was completely different.
"Dream?" She read as the words flashed in front of her eyes. Her hands pressed the nearby buttons to continue as an animated paper floated in the screen. Soon enough, words began to type near the bottom of the screen as she read out loud.In your name, you shall protect the kingdom from the beast that lurks outside the castle. I, _____, swear on my life to protect the land of Dream.
Gahyeon bursted out laughing as she held her stomach, she just couldn't believe the overly dramatic contract on the screen. The young brunette wiped her tears away as her laughter died down."Alright, alright. I, Lee Gahyeon, swear on my life to protect the land of Dream!" She played along acting so high and mighty. "After all, I am Lee Gahyeon, the strongest knight there is in the world." She then proceeded to continuously press the buttons, hoping to speed the process.
Gahyeon began to squint at the screen noticing the same old contract. She wondered why the game wasn't proceeding to a new screen, perhaps the game was glitched? Her soft fingers began to annoyingly press the buttons until she stopped from the sudden feeling of her head throbbing. She pressed her fingers to both sides of her temple trying to massage this sudden pain. Maybe spending all day in an arcade was bad for her health.
Gahyeon shut her eyes tightly raising two fingers upward calling the worker over, but before she could speak up her words began to slur. "Hey...this game...the game-" Gahyeon uttered before feeling her body drop on the floor. The sound of her body falling was just one of the many noises in the room.
-Gahyeon woke up suddenly, gasping for air as her hands held her chest. Her hands immediately touching her lips, looking for the missing lollipop in her mouth she had earlier. If she remembered correctly, the candy wasn't anywhere near to being done. Her thoughts were suddenly interrupted by the sound of nearby sheep rushing near her. Her mind began to run wild at the sight of the animals running around. She never remembered going to the country side, how was this possible? Gahyeon's hands roamed around her body trying to look for her phone, but was met with a complete different type of wardrobe on her body.
