Chapter Nine

A couple of weeks have passed and ever since Bakura's promise, Ryou and him have gotten closer. They could even be considered friends due to that promise.

Bakura didn't know why. Why, why he had feelings for this boy. He was just a shy, insecure weakling. Ryou just felt special to him. Someone he needed.

Besides Ryou being interesting and intriguing, he was quite fond to be around of. Ryou was genuinely a good person. A pure heart, something that's very uncommon.

After conversing with this kind soul, Bakura knew he needed to protect Ryou. Ryou was pure, and he didn't want anything to taint. He wanted this pure heart all to himself.

He did not want a single drop of taintiness onto his beloved.

Ryou on the other hand, forgave Bakura for his actions. Afterall, people can change. And to his eyes, Bakura has definitely changed.

"Ryou?" Bakura spoke.

"Yes Bakura?" he responded.

"Would you mind if I kissed you?" Bakura asked.

Ryou automatically flushed a bright red. "W-What..?! We are just friends right Bakura..?"

"Yes, but I would like to try it. You know, experience how it feels." Bakura said.

"O-Oh I see.... but shouldn't you do it with a girl..?" he asked.

"I don't have any friends that are girls." he said.

"But-"

Then. It happened. Bakura and Ryou locked lips together. Ryou was caught by surprise.

Bakura kissed him even more, slipping his tongue into Ryou's mouth. Bakura held Ryou's face as he was kissing him hungrily.

Ryou tried pulling away, even trying to tap Bakura to signal him to stop. But he didn't.

Then the door had opened, revealing Ryou's dad. And before the pair could pull away, Ryou's father's eyes had already caught the sight.

The two both quickly pulled away. "Ryou? What are you doing kissing with another young man? Didn't I tell you focus on your grades instead of these 'relationships?'" he stated sternly, which was the calm before the storm.

"I-I know father! But it's not what it looks like!" Ryou said.

"You know Ryou, both your mother and sister would be so disappointed in you right now. And most of all, why is my son making out with a boy?" he said.

The first statement shook Ryou to the core. "But fathe-"

"Be quiet. I don't want to talk to a disgrace of son. I don't even know if I can call you my son." he said as he left.

"Ryou...?" Bakura spoke.

Ryou started to sob. "Go away Bakura... m-my father despises me even more than he ever does..."

"Little on-"

"Go away Bakura! I always have to take in everyone ever since.... just please... just leave..." he said.

Bakura did as what the pure one told him to do. Now, he knew what to do. Showing proof that'll he'll fulfill his promise.
