The word that Sungwoon loves the most. Especially when there is Kang Daniel in it. It's magical word to be said, to be embraced, and to be with someone that he loves the most. The spark when they are together, when they laugh together, even when they sit on the sofa enjoying the movie on Netflix.
Just be together is just enough.
But the beauty in its word seems to be faded away as Sungwoon already knows what will Daniel says to him. A word of apology.
"I'm sorry, hyung."
See. It's just like Sungwoon think.
The words that will end all of this and Sungwoon already read the omen. He is ready for it. The next word that Daniel will say to him. Three simple words.
"Let's break up."
It's been said. Finally, from his lips. The lips that always kiss him and always says the word, love.
They both stand on the side of this quite road. No one is here, it's only them on the sidewalk. The road is also empty, no vehicle passes through. It's like the world knows that it will be only them in this area.
Daniel bows his head down and Sungwoon looks at Daniel expressionless face. He had it coming from Daniel's lips. Someone already took that place, the place that was mend to be his. He is not Daniel's first anymore.
"Thank you, Niel-a," Sungwoon says and smiles to Daniel. Even if it is hard to smile to him right now but Sungwoon wants to smile. Daniel looks at Sungwoon in surprises as he frowns his eye brows. He makes this harder than ever. His troubled face is always Sungwoon's weakness.
"Be happy, OK?" Sungwoon says his last words. He needs to be hurry. The tears will drop any soon as he clenches his hands. And the ache that piercing through his heart, he cannot take it anymore. Not with Daniel in front of him, not like this.
"Hyung..." Daniel also speechless and he doesn't need to explain it. Sungwoon knows better than anyone. If Daniel chooses "him" then Sungwoon will gladly to step back from any of this. This is not fair both for Daniel and his new lover.
It hurts so bad. The needles start to piecing one by one again. Sungwoon needs to finish all of this...
He can't bear the pain anymore. He will cry.
"Love him more than you ever love me, OK?"
Sungwoon smiles. He bows his body to Daniel and wants to run away from here.
But he needs to clear this at once. He looks at Daniel one more time as he gives him his best smile, he acquiesces Daniel and ends this.
"Thank you for every thing, Niel-a," Sungwoon says again as he turns his body to walks away. He can see how Daniel already sheds his tears.
He cannot comfort Daniel again as Sungwoon bites his lower lip. He wants to run to Daniel and hugs him, giving him a comfort. But it's not his task anymore and if he does that... It will leave more scars from this love.
It's over.
"Goodbye, Daniel," Sungwoon says.
He still can hear how Daniel sniff and Sungwoon must walks away from him. Every step is like a sword stabs on Sungwoon's hearts. It's hard and hurt at the same time. He will never meet Daniel ever again and will never turn back to him anymore.
A drop.
Two drop.
Three drop.
It's drizzling and the road is as empty as before but this time is only Sungwoon. He walks far enough and Daniel is not chasing him.
Sungwoon wipes his cheeks as he looks up to the sky. The grey sky covers the blue sky as the rain drops wet Sungwoon's cheeks. Is it the rain or the tears that makes Sungwoon's cheeks wet?
Daniel is not here anymore.
Sungwoon bites his lips, it's trembeling so hard.
He covers his mouth and his eyes shut immediately, the tears flows harder as it falls endlessly. His legs are weak as Sungwoon falls on the ground, he couldn't stand anymore.
It's too hard and too painful.
This tears. He doesn't want to show it Daniel. He wants to remind composed and steadfast but in the end, he couldn't help but to surrender his own feeling to this pain.
If he could say anything to Daniel. He would withstand this break up.
Just this one time.
Sungwoon wants to dissemble this tears to this downpour. Let these tears and the rain wipe away all the pain and the love that Sungwoon's been holding all this time.
