Pain.

The feeling of a heartache.
When you feel like you're heart's going to get crushed.
When you feel blood pumping faster and faster, making your breathing ragged.
That lovely feeling of pain!

I love it. I don't know why you don't..?

The room reeked of blood and rotting bodies. Long forgotten in the corners of the room.
There I see a pale man right in front me in a desperate and pitiful attempt to run away from me.
"Please don't.. I-I have a family!"
There you go. I chuckled. The common thing they say seconds before their death.
"And so?" I replied. My voice harsh with a hint of amusement.
"Y-You.." His voice wavering, astonished at the sudden realisation that a human with no morale could ever exist. In an instant in which this inhumane woman knew would happen, the man pulls out a knife from god knows where.
"You're a monster!" He screamed as he came running towards me with full speed. Well, he tried.
Instead of dodging, instead of moving to the side to avoid this man's feeble attempt at attacking, she stood still with a distorted face.
Her eyes narrowed with tears. Almost as if she was a different person right at that moment.
"Oh.." She closes her eyes as the knife grazed her side. The man fell down, missing his target. Ultimately dying in the process.
Blood dripped down on her side as she laughed. She smiled as more tears came out.
Since when did her guilty pleasure turned physical? Oh right.. it was a long time ago. She had long forgotten of her past that she desperately want to bury deep in her heart. Did she ..?
"Wounds from the past can't be hidden easily." She unconsciously mumbled to herself. Looking down on the corpse. "Ah.. it hurts" She said softly as she tightened her grip around the clothe near her chest.
She dropped to the ground splattered with the blood of the remains. With a laugh, she cried more. It's amusing, she thought. How can her sins make her feel alive more so than living a normal life? It hurts.. the sins she has. The sins that accumulated over the years. It only seemed like yesterday when she was able to hold a sword and point it towards her "creator". It only seemed like yesterday. Her mind felt numb but there was one thing she knew. It's that this pain, the blood gushing out of her side, the impact of seeing all those dead bodies on her mental health... is ironically making her feel more alive than anything else. It felt like the colour red was her one and only rainbow. The only colour she was taught to love and know. It's better than living in such an empty, cold place. She stood once again, ignoring the blood. She walked with a sword on the right and a gun on the left, towards the door to head towards the next mission.

"God, can you still save someone as unworthy as me..?"
