Zorie's P.O.V:
Hi my name is Zorie. Well, it's actually Zuriyah , but everyone calls me Zorie , but trust me my name is probably the only weird thing thing about me. Well other than the fact that I'm 14 years old and have never stepped foot in a to school. And the fact that I'm adopted. But for some people being adopted is normal. To be honest I am pretty boring. In fact , I have never really been outside my neighborhood before. My "parents" may be neglectful but they are also super strict about going outside. They keep saying I am special. But I think they're just over reacting. They have never been that good at parenting. Anyway, being home schooled all your life isn't special. If anything it is pretty normal (well kinda) . Just like me. I always wonder why I have never been out side before
But, now that I think about it I was outside once before. At least from what I remember. It was when I was little, around 7 or 8 , when I was playing on the small little playground on our block. I don't remember what happened but for some reason this girl named Jessica hated me. So that day she pulled my hair and called it ugly and I snapped. I focused deeply and concentrated on my hatred on her. Suddenly her hair caught fire . It was a beautiful. An amazing blue-red flame burned all her hair off. She screamed , cried and whaled. Then she looked me dead in the eyes and started yelling "You Demon, You Witch" repeatedly. She kept yelling until her mom found her. She sneered in my direction and walked of with her mom. I still have no idea where the flame came from. But I guess this incident caused my parents to lock me up. And honestly I don't blame them.
But now I'm so happy that I'll be getting to go to a public school. Maybe I'll even make some actual friends. I've never had a friend before (other than my imaginary ones). I hope I don't make any enemies.
As I close my eyes and drift to bed, my thoughts wonder to the exciting adventure ahead that I will face in Sierra High School.
