"Here I am. Walking through this stupid multiverse. Again. To the only AU I actually enjoy," Error thought. This is something Error often did every day. Sometimes more than five times a day. He could only stay for an hour though, he learned that after an hour, Ink would sense him there, and pick a fight.
The Anti-Void that he lived in had gotten pretty dull, so one day, a long time ago. Error decided to go look at AU's to see if anyone had anything remotely compelling. Then, he stumbled on one in particular that had to be the most gorgeous place he had ever seen. It was the enormous galaxy that surrounded Outertale. He was mesmerized and stayed there for as long as possible before Ink came. All he did, was stare. So whenever he gets bored, he just goes over to Outertale for an hour. He used to teleport, but he thought that while he was going there, he might as well look at other AU's on the way. Now, he had never found another one that he thought he might want to hang out in, but, he thought that the other AU's weren't as bad as he thought before. Looking at all the stars, planets, and asteroids in Outertale had changed him in a way.
Error finally got to Outertale. The moment he got there, he teleported to his favorite spot(It was on a ledge of a piece of land that floated around the very left corner of the AU) and sat down right on the edge. After an hour he knew it was time to leave so that Ink didn't detect him. However, right when he was about to leave, he stood up, turned around, and saw somebody standing behind him.
"Hey." He heard him say while he gave a small wave. "Great," Error thought. "HE has to show up AGAIN, right when I'm about to LEAVE."
Fresh had been trying to talk with Error after he had noticed how fascinatingly mysterious he was. He had tried for about three months now, maybe this time would be different. Every time he would hope, and always get there right when Error was about to leave. Error would ignore him and walk right past him, saying nothing. Except this time, Error stopped once he had walked past him, turned, looked Fresh dead in the eyes, and said, "Why." Fresh was surprised, but said, "Why not?"
Error then looked angry, and short yelled, "No, why, Uuuuuuugh. Why do you keep trying to talk to me, I ignore you every time! Yet you still don't get the hint!" For some reason he couldn't explain, Fresh was hurt by this. Even so, he said, "B-because your the only monster or person in the entire multiverse that I know nothing about. That makes you special, or at least very interesting!" Error unknowingly blushed a little, he was trying to process what was his first ever compliment, he had never been told that he was special or... "Interesting?!" He mentally screamed.
There was silence for a minute. The whole time, Error had a yellow blush on his very visibly confused face. Fresh did notice, which made him blush just the tiniest bit purple, which Error noticed as well. Then he put a calm look on his face, used a calm tone, and spoke after a sigh. "So, would you accompany me somewhere so we can talk?"
Error didn't say anything, he didn't know what to say, so he just walked over to his usual spot for the second time that day, sat down, and patted the ground next to him. Fresh got the idea and sat down next to him.
"So?" Error asked. "So what? Oh yeah, my names Fresh." Fresh said as he put his hand out for a handshake. "Well, Fresh. My name is Error, and let's get something straight, I don't do physical contact, so put your hand down." Error sort of snapped. "I get it. So, you fly solo right?" Fresh said putting his hands behind him on the rocky terrain so he could lean back a bit.
"You could say that. Got no friends, don't talk to anybody, and avoid Ink when I can. I destroy stupid Au's sometimes, it's kinda my job." Error said proudly. "Thought so, I've heard a lot about the destroyer of the AU's, but never got to meet him. Never thought I'd be having a casual conversation with him either." Fresh replied, trying his best to carry the conversation. "Well, here you are," Error remarked.
"Ink gets really heated when he talks about you ya know, but he never said your name, or what you look like." Fresh then thought about why Ink is so obscure when talking about Error, but then also remembered how angry he sounds sometimes. "Not surprised, Ink probably just doesn't want anyone to freak out when they see me, or maybe he just doesn't want people looking for me. Either way, he hates me, and I hate him, but I have to admit, he is a formidable foe." Error also though about Ink, but realized that he never really got to know him, just fight him. Every time, he did create a challenging battle, but Error always managed to get away.
Speaking of Ink, he had, in fact, felt Errors presence in Outertale and went to go check it out. When he saw him, from a distance, sitting and talking? To Fresh?! He was astonished but still got a little closer to listen in on their conversation. "What is Fresh doing talking to HIM?" He quietly whispered. (He came here right when Error said, "Not surprised").
"So, you don't entirely hate Ink?" Fresh asked, expecting an, "of course, I hate him with everything I have," but instead, he got an unexpected answer. "In a way, I guess." Error said, thinking, "I really don't hate the guy at all, I just hate how he gets in the way of my work and picks fights with me all the time." He was lost in thought for a second, then he got pulled out by, laughing?
Fresh shad started to laugh a little. "What?!" Error asked very confusedly, and a little angrily. "I just can't wait to tell Ink!" Fresh spat out, thinking of Ink's possible reactions. "If you do! I WILL find you, and KILL you!" Error warned with a very angry expression on his face. "Ok fine, guess I won't tell him," Fresh said as he stopped laughing.
Error then angrily looked down and crossed his arms while blushing a bright yellow. Fresh looked at Error's blushy face and smiled, blushing a bit. Error turned to see Fresh's smiley face and asked, "What are you smiling at?" "You," Fresh said on instinct, then, realizing what he had just said, looked away. Blushing a dark shade of purple. He pulled his hat down a bit to try and hide it, but it was too visible. Then Error, still bright yellow, starred at him, no eye lights, wondering why he said, "You." His thoughts were racing, just all over the place.
Ink saw all of this, and for once, he didn't see Error as an enemy. Nevertheless, he was still confused, "Out of everyone, why is he opening up and acting this way towards Fresh? Of all the people!" He thought to himself. He didn't see Error as a threat in Outertale at that moment, so he decided to leave. Thinking about the scene he had witnessed. He wouldn't question Fresh. As much as he wanted to, he didn't want him to know that he was spying on him.
Back with Fresh and Error, Error was looking away now, looking up at the stars again, wondering what he was feeling, "Where is this even coming from, do I, like someone?" That was the first thing that came to his mind. He stood up, still blushing like crazy. "I'm going home, see you tomorrow. Same time?" "Sure," Fresh answered almost too quickly. Standing up as well. Then Error teleported away, and Fresh whispered to himself, "Error, what have you done to me? I'm supposed to be an emotionless being, and I'm flustered? At a humungous loss for words too. What are you?" Then, after a minute of trying to piece together what he was feeling, Fresh decided to leave for home and teleported away.
