“This is different. The child is awake. After all this time they thought concealment was the best option for a being of that caliber. Nevertheless I will come after. Is the host ready, slave?”

“M-Milord! I do hope you will be most merciful, but the original h-host has...disappeared.”

“WHAT? HOW HAS HE ESCAPED?”

“That was a risky option..as he is clever….”

“ARGH! Fine, I suppose you will have to do. I did not bring you back for nothing.”

“Are you okay, Milady?” Thor asked Evangeline on the flight back to the Helicarrier. Since he had picked her up from the surf of the river, the girl had appeared sickly and not at all well. Both children seemed distant, they were hiding something, and Thor was positive. He would have to tell Tony Stark, after all Iron Man was more trustworthy than the director.

“I’m fine, Thor.”

The Avengers had the two demigods sent to the infirmary in hopes to find that Perseus was alright and whatever ailed Evangeline was minor. Dragon girl went peacefully, or which is to say with little struggle. Agent Romanoff wanted them separated so Thor took Percy and Tony helped Evangeline. That pair was destined to be enemies if they did not try to form a relationship. Perhaps Stark would not be so sarcastic and Dragon girl guarded. “Thor, do I really have to go with him? Evangeline asked. Tony sulked miserably feet away.

“I think you will have to, but…” He leaned in to whisper. “ Please, at least attempt to be friends with him.”

“I’d sooner be friends with this ‘Loki’ of yours, Thor.” Evangeline gazed nervously around. “Gods, my head hurts.”

“Times up, little prick!” Tony grabbed Evangeline’s wrist, pulling her with him.

“They’re both screwed.” The thunder god turned to the son of the sea god.

“Come, there is another medical station this way.” Thor placed Percy in front so the boy wouldn’t become distracted or wander off. The stroll was almost quietly enjoyable, until Percy started to sway and almost fell over.

“Are you okay!?” He supported Percy before he hit the floor.

“”I think so, but my head feels really weird.”

They kept going and were greeted at the station. “Hello, lads! I am agent Simmons! My friend Fitz would be here, but he is not at his best….currently. Right this way!”

The pretty Scottish lady led them to an examination table, and went to her desk. “I hope you don’t mind,” She grabbed a few vials, syringe, and needle. “Taking some DNA samples are necessary for the continuation of science.”
