Normally I'd stick this note in the first chapter however I'd like this to say a few things. Thank you for giving this story a chance, i'm fine is the story about two people who meet in the wake of true horror, based on the horrifying 2018 school shootings the story shows two very different perspectives as the different lives complete senior year of high school.

I was at a school event when I got my inspiration for this book, our grade was doing something called the 'courage retreat' which was mainly a few people who came in and talked about everyday courage. At the conclusion of the retreat, an activity was held. In the activity students had the opportunity to walk to the center of the room and speak about an act of courage which they planned on incorporating into their lives- words are truly an amazing thing its interesting how much truth can be found in them if you look close enough, I was, my friends were. Because when students did the simple task of shearing an act of courage they also let aware of their struggles in a way. Before that day I assumed that everyone was much happier than I was, but as they spoke I learned how wrong I was. What I'm trying to say is this; Its so easy to feel alone.

Meanwhile, a year earlier America was plagued nationwide by horrible school shootings that rocked students to their very core. Horrors like that shouldn't happen anywhere- especially at school. Nobody should go to school worrying about their life, nobody.

According to Education weekly 114 people have died from school shootings in the 2018 school year. Brave students such as Emma Gonzaliaz, David Hogg, Naomi Wadler, Yolanda Renee King, and many many more outspoken youth leaders have contributed their voices to movements such as March for our Lives and #neveragain. Gun violence needs to be eradicated and thanks to the many powerful leaders, awareness is spreading. I urge anyone reading to look into the efforts of the outspoken youth.

I hope that this story will not only spread awareness for shootings but many of the other topics featured in this novel, without further ado, please enjoy i'm fine, thank you,
