It was a woman. Her voice wobbled, you could tell she was in pain and in need of help.
"Holy shit!" Rosé whispered.
"Whoever's there, we're coming to get you!" Marco shouted.
Suddenly, the lights flickered on and seven cages were revealed with seven people inside of them. Their eyes slowly fluttered open and they all looked at eachother.
The group needed to figure out how to save these seven other contestants, and fast. Rosé found three keys, and Marco found four, yet Beyoncé found none, since she was mid-conversation with one of the trapped guests. Her name was Barbie, her hair was velvet red and she wore a revealing black strip dress.
"Beyoncé, pitch in a little, will you?" Rosé asked.
"Leave her alone," Marco's voice grew deep and growly, as he protected Beyoncé.
"Leave Bey alone." He spoke.
"Bey?! You two lovebirds already have NICKNAMES?!" Rosé shouted.
"Oh just shut your mouths!" A caged guest piped in.
"I'm sorry, who are you?" Marco asked.
"Alejandro. But you can call me Alec." His voice was stubborn.
"Leave the poor girl alone. She's only mad because she's the third wheel." He kicked the cage.
"I-- no! Hm. Yep. True." Rosé stuttered.
The group was silenced, and they tried all the keys in all the holes and unlocked them all. They got to know eachother.
First up was Barbie. She was meant to talk about why she came here, yet she just talked about all her boob jobs.
Next was Liam, a humble, yet charming man with short white hair about as white as his teeth. He wore a white suit with a red tie.
After that there was Evie, a lonely girl that didn't really talk to anyone. She had causal jeans and a white shirt.
Then there was Alejandro, a sassy young fellow with messy black hair and Harry Potter style glasses. He wore a thin fur coat with tight black pants.
Next to introduce theirself was Karissa, a beauty therapist all kitted up in a cowgirl costume.
Second to last was Joshua, a short man with a very large beard and a half shaved head.
Then, last to introduce themself was Díor, a shy man with messy, long black hair and stunning blue eyes.
They all were interrupted by an ear piercing alarm. If was followed by the voice of the butler.
"Let the party begin. Take yourselves back to the safe space where a game board will be found, and follow the instructions from there. Good luck, you'll need it."
"What the hell?" Alejandro muttered.
The group left the cages and the basement and went back to the middle deck to the safe space.
The circle sofa now had a table in the middle of it, with a checkered chess board on top with no pieces; just dice. There was a note which Díor picked up and he read it aloud.
"Everyone take turns rolling the dice, and the two with the lowest number will go into an escape room somewhere on the ship, and the first one to escape will be free, but the loser will be murdered in a violent and brutal way."
"But we won't actually get killed... Will we?" Karissa asked.
"No. Of course not. It's a reality show." Alejandro answered.
Everyone took turns rolling the dice.
Díor: 5
Joshua: 5
Karissa: 1
Alejandro: 6
Liam: 3
Evie: 4
Barbie: 2
Rosé: 5
Marco: 1
Beyoncé: 6"Marco and Karissa..." Beyoncé said.
"Why me? Ugh." Karissa moaned.
"This is bullshit." She carried on."I'm just gonna try my hardest." Marco said.
The butler appeared, and led them to the room, shoved them in, and locked the door behind them.
It was a pitch black room with one lightbulb in the middle. Marco got there first, and read the note next to it.
"A light switch is hidden in this room. Find it, switch it on, and find the passcode for the lockbox under this table. A gun is inside, with one bullet in the chamber. Play a deadly game of Russian Roulette. When one of you puts a bullet through your skull, the winner gets free, and you will be given a chess piece, and you will be one step closer to achieving your goal, gathering all 8 chess pieces. Good luck."
They both started looking for the light switch, and Marco found it on a wall. The room is illuminated, and it is bare in the middle, with rows of shelves on the walls and clocks above them.
Karissa immediately started searching the right hand side of shelves for the code so Marco went foror the left hand side. They searched together for a while, and Marco found a note and let Karissa see. It read:
"eHvUeArSy HtOhAiHrBd OcUlEoDcIk"
They spent a while decoding the clue, and realised that if they got rid of every capital letter, it would read:
"every third clock"
There was nine clocks in the room and they got the hour of every third clock, which was 915. They entered it into the lockbox, and just like magic, it opened. Inside layed a gun, and they sat on opposite sides of the small round table.
"Who's going first?" Karissa asked.
"I'll be a gentleman and go first then, I guess." Marco said.
He put the gun to his head and his finger caressed the trigger. The sweat beading off of his finger dripped down to his shirt, and he pulled the trigger.
It clicked, but no bullet.
He passed the gun over to Karissa, who put it to her head, pulled the trigger but again, no bullet shot out. She passed it back to Marco, who put it to his head again. He shot, with yet again, no bullet.
It was getting more intense by the second, and Marissa's breathing got heavier. Her chest clenched as she put the gun to her head.
"If I die right now," Her voice crackled. "Promise me that you'll make it out alive." She teared up.
"I will. I promise." Marco answered.
"Tell the group that I'll miss them."
Karissa pulled the trigger, and the bullet shot out, piercing her skull. Her screams echoed throughout the room, and the crimson red blood flowed out of her skull, and Marco's heart skipped a beat. A few seconds later, and the door unlocked. The butler gave Marco the chess piece, and he returned to the safe space.
