I awoke to a blinding and bright light. Reacting immediately, I squinted my eyes shut and shielded them with my hand. After I've fully adjusted to the sun rays, I looked around my surroundings.
I realised that I'm still at the same place. Trying to figure out what had happened before I fainted, I felt something heavy around my neck. I looked down to see the locket that I had found, dangling as a necklace.
"That's weird... I don't remember wearing it." I uttered. I tried to recall what happened when I had passed out but it only brought more pain to my head.
I grasped my head as the pain increased and I fell on my knees. I felt like I was gonna explode any moment. It was like someone smashed my head with a sledgehammer over and over again.
"IT HURTS! HELP!" I shouted but to no avail. No one was near me. Nobody could even hear me. After the excruciating agony, I collapsed and a voice followed.
"It's okay. You're a step closer to finding me soon. The pain was just a barrier..."
______
My eyes jerked awake as I sat up, breathing heavily and panickly scanning my surroundings. I was in the sick bay. The last thing I remembered was passing out under the tree. Who had dragged me here?
I got on my seat and headed out of the room. As I turn the corner, I bump against a person's chest and tumbled back a little from the sudden impact. I felt a tight grip on my right wrist and I looked up to see an unfamiliar face looking concerned.
"Sorry. I wasn't looking. Are you okay?" He said in a hasty tone, letting go of my wrist and scanning my face. When he saw that there was no scratch, his eyes widened and he swiftly said, "I'm sorry, I'm in a hurry right now. Goodbye!"
With that, the weird stranger guy left. Leaving me to contemplate what had just happened. One thing that stood out from his physical features was his face. If I were to identify him in a big crowd, I'd immediately recognize his one of a kind face.
I took a peek around the corner of the wall so see where he was headed to but he was gone. Like he just disappeared out of nowhere.
That was weird.
I took a first step forward only to be contacted with a small object underneath my feet. I moved backwards and crouched down to see a beautiful blue ring. I have no idea who had lost it here but I have a hunch it's that fella from before.
I examined the ring closely. It had a smooth looking material with no small scratches. The metal used appears to be tungsten.
