The fireplace crackled as the timbers within shifted as they burned, the gentle glow produced from it illuminated the area around it. Wet pawprints decorated the hardwood floor as Meeko, damp from playing in Lake Ilinalta, padded over to his scaled owner and whined. The poor dog felt bad that his owner felt such misery from not being able to do anything more with his life, and decided it would be best to comfort the dovahkiin. Silently, the slightly wet pup approached his person, whom of which was lying on the floor's big bear pelt located right in front of the fireplace, and curled up right against his side. Slowly, a black hand dragged over and gently rubbed the dog, eliciting a grumble of happiness and nuzzles from the canine. Amber eyes grew heavy and fell shut, the powerful argonian passing out with his dog by his side.

Akatosh pitied his warrior, watching as the depression ensnared his soul. The god decided that something must be done to help his beloved champion. A thought came to mind, he could transfer Zykrie into his other creation, a universe very different in comparison to Nirn but full of the new challenges and adventures that his young one craved. With one last thought, he gave the argonian and his faithful companion immunity to radiation and damage resistance then teleported the pair into the Commonwealth.

A sharp growl woke up Zykrie, making him quickly sit up in alarm. His eyes rapidly twitched as they assessed the situation. His nightclothes were gone and he was now dressed in his usual outfit, the ancient shrouded armour set with enchanted daedric gauntlets instead of the shrouded gloves. The land around him simply looked dead, a strange smell lingering in the air, and a figure standing before him. His slightly blind right eye registered the very blurry silhouette of his dog at the corner of his vision, the fur of Meeko's left shoulder pressed against his side. The Dragonborn shot up in alarm, summoning his daedric bow and ebony arrows as he stood.

"Who and what are you?!" Preston Garvey yelled at the lizard man and his mutt, aiming his laser musket at the dovahkiin's chest. A look of confusion took over the argonian's features as he stared at the gun and the fact that this man didn't know wh he was. Back in Skyrim, everyone knew who Zykrie was in one way or another, either by his title as Dragonborn, the archmage, or one of the many others.

"I'm the Dovahkiin, Zykrie, and I'm obviously an argonian. Where is this place, who are you, and by the nine, what is going on here?!" Both loosened their grips on their weapons, no longer aiming at the other but still wielded them just in case. With a wave of his hand, Zykrie called off Meeko's attack stance and gave him a few pets as a reward for trying to protect him. Preston took in a deep inhale, prepared to give the same explanation that he gave to the sole survivor albeit a bit more detailed this time.
