Misaki's POV

I awaken to the shining, eye-blinding sun. My eyes twitch a little bit, opening and closing, and then finally snapping open. I arose tiredly from the bed, stretching my whole body as I did so. It was a crisp and quiet morning. I headed to the restroom to clean myself up.
I yawned as I washed my hands. I dried them, and picked up the comb to my nearest left to fix my hair that resembled a ball of matted fur.  As I stared at myself in the mirror, I began to hear things. About a billion tiny, little voices, whispered inaudible things into my ears. It really freaked me out, but I just shook it off. It was probably just ringing in my ears, right? Wrong. They continued, and got louder, and louder. I then suddenly heard a deep, and raspy voice say to me:
"I bet he'd love to see you suffer."
"What?!" I yelled out loud. The voices faded. He? I thought to myself. Who's he? I felt a shiver rush down my spine. I didn't want today to be another bad day, so I took a deep breath. "I won't let you get in my way."
I trotted down the stairs, with a full suit on, ready to cook up a few eggs and bacon for Usagi-san. He lay on the couch like a dead carcass. "Usagi! Get up off that couch! You've got work to get done!"
He then sent me a death glare. "What was that?"
Shit, I always forget he's like this in the morning!
"Ahaha, nothing! I said absolutely nothing!" I tried to run away, but Usagi got a hold of my wrist, and pulled me to him. Like always, he pressed his lips against mine. I just gave in, so he wouldn't be as cranky.
Soon enough, his hand began to wander down to my crotch. As soon as he slid it into my pants, I became a dark shade of red. "Ah! Hey, Usagi!! Would you stop that?! It's way too early for this!!!!"
"Oh come on, it's never too early," he sneered. With that, his hand went into my boxers, and he grabbed hold of my member. Usagi began to slowly pump it up and down. You can probably guess what happens next...
About 30 minutes later, I had redressed myself, because of that rat bastard Usagi. I cooked him the bacon and eggs I promised him, then we ate.
"Hey, Misaki, I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable earlier," The silver-haired man apologized to me. That was quite odd, but sweet of him too, I suppose.
"Oh, uh... it's alright. I know you can get cranky and clingy in the mornings," I nodded to him. Then for a few minutes, silence overtook the room.
All of a sudden, when I took a bite of the eggs, the voices in my head came back to deafen me. They spat their inaudible sayings from left to right, left to right, left to right. I tried to shake it off, but that didn't seem to work at all. In fact, it made it that much more worse. My vision went blurry; all I could see was stars. Finally, for what seemed like years and years, Usagi gripped my shoulder and shook me. I instantly snapped out of it.
"Hey, Misaki! What happened?!"
"What?" I was utterly confused.
"For a second you just... froze," He told me. I'm afraid to tell him what I'm hearing, so I just gave him a white lie for a response.
"Oh, it's okay, I was just... zoning out for a second."
"Are you sure...?" Usagi didn't seem completely convinced.
"I'm totally sure! I was just planning out what I need to do at work today," I assured him, lying at the same time.
"Alright then... as long as you're okay, then I'm okay," He sat back down and continued munching on his bacon.
I looked over at the clock, and it read 7:30 AM. I stood up from my seat, cleared my place, and told Usagi that I was off for work.
As I stepped out of the door to the main entrance, I felt a huge gush of wind blow in my face. Even though Spring had already began, it was still freezing out.
Luckily, Marukawa Publishing is just a few blocks away from the condo I live in with Usagi, so I can easily get there by walking. But I wanted to get there a bit early, so I took the bus.
I arrived 10 minutes early, at 7:50 AM. I stepped out of the elevator, and trotted over to my desk, preparing myself for the day.  A few moments later, my boss entered the room, and spotted me.
"Oh, Takahashi-kun! You're quite early!" My boss exclaimed as he walked in with some papers.
"Ahaha, yes. I wanted to get started a bit earlier this morning," I chuckled, and walked up to him.
"That's perfect! For starters, could you make 20 copies of these?" He handed me the papers he was carrying.
"Of course!" And so, another work day began.
Two hours had passed already, and I was doing great! At the moment, I was scanning some line art for a manga that was going to be published. I had made much progress on it, but that was about as much as I was able to do that day. I felt my stomach tighten all of a sudden. It felt like something was coming up from my throat; I was going to vomit. I slapped my hands to my mouth, and then scurried to the restrooms. I went into the nearest stall, and threw up in the toilet. It took me a whole minute to get everything out. As soon as I had finished, I took a deep breath, and took note that the stuff that came out of me was a reddish color. Almost like the crimson color of blood. My eyes widened a little. I tried to blink, but the color was still there. I flushed it away.
"It must be my head messing with me again..." I pondered. I felt this awful pain in my stomach, and knew I'd could vomit again at any given time.
I sprinted to my boss' office to see if I could go home for being sick. I knocked and was answered with:
"Come on in."
"Hey, boss?"
"Oh, Takahashi-kun! What's the matter?"
"I feel very sick and tired... I just threw up for a whole minute in the restroom," I explained as best I could to him.
"Is that so? Do you feel you might throw up again?"
"Yes—" the vomit came up once again, and I tried to hold it back with my hands.
"Ah! You can have the day off! Go to the—!" before he could even finish, the vomit was too much to hold back and I just let everything out on the floor. Oh god, I felt so awful!
"Oh no!" I shouted as I finished. I looked around from side to side to find a mop to clean up my mess. "I'll have this cleaned up in a minute, sir!"
"There's no need, Takahashi, accidents happen. I'll have the janitors clean it up. You go on home and rest up!" My boss told me nicely.
"T-Thank you so much, I really do appreciate it..." I trudged all the way back home, with my head held down.
After I unlocked the condo with my keycard, I was welcomed into a large, empty room.
"Usagi-san must be working on his novel," I assumed. "I guess I'll just make some—!" and there it went again! The vomit suddenly erupted from my mouth, and I was unable to control it. "Shit!"
"Clean up this mess, or he'll kill you!" The distorted, raspy voice snarled at me in my head. I froze like I had just looked Medusa in the eyes.
He... are they talking about Usagi? I thought about it for a while, remembering all the things this nasty voice in my head. It really did sound like they were talking about my lover. Usagi wouldn't kill me over something like this... right? With this in mind, I quickly grabbed the roll of paper towels, and ripped off quite a long piece, and proceeded to clean up the bloody vomit, in fear that my boyfriend should murder me.
Hours and hours had passed, and I just lay on the couch, with a bucket, incase I was to barf again. There was nothing good on TV, every five minutes I couldn't hear anything due to the constant voices in my head; my body felt so weak. I don't know how I could even to make it to work tomorrow.
I guess I'll just call my boss and tell him I caught the flu,  I thought to myself.
