"Reese!" The tousled-copper haired teenage man called out her name as he promptly rushed himself into her desk. He was worried sick. "Where were you yesterday? I was calling you a thousand times and..."
"Will you calm down for a sec?" The young woman interrupted, cutting him off mid-sentence. "It's me who should be asking you the same thing. Where were you yesterday?"
Well damn, that actually came out wrong.
"What are you talking about, Reese?" He asked and his confused expression made her discern of the situation he wasn't completely aware of. "Look," He begun. "I even skipped the whole afternoon class and asked the dumb blonde to give me a ride since I still don't have my car." Jungkook sighed as his face fell in frustration. "I came to check up on you but you were gone missing in your apartment."
What?
"B-but I," Reese pressed her lips into a thin line and furrowed her brows. Focusing on his stare. She knew he wasn't lying. But what was all that yesterday? She knew her eyes couldn't tell her lies and believed in what she saw that day. It was confusing her heart. But she had to remain collected. She had to save her only beating life force, her heart.
Then a sudden pain had brought her down. Tch... instead of floating under the dizzy spell, Reese focused on the fabric of his shirt. She couldn't move. She couldn't breath. Seconds felt like minutes and minutes were like days. Still, she tried her mind to be functional.
She watched Jungkook's worried expression as his faint voice echoed through her ears. "Reese, are you okay?"
She didn't answer and stood firmly with her remained strength, gripping at the near desk for support. What is wrong with my body? "I just need some..."
"Reese!" The astonished copper-haired man called out to her and attempted for another. "Hey, Reese?" He caught her waist in time before her whole physique could even collapse fully on the concrete floor. And the next, he felt her cheeks with the back of his hand as he held her closer to him, supporting her weight. Her body was now seething with an anusual increase of temperature. "Shit, you're burning."
Jungkook carried her with his hand, supporting her back and the other to her legs. Damn, shit... he continued to curse mentally. His heart was in fluttering panic, drifting his way to the infirmary. He almost stumbled in his haste yet he adjured his legs to keep going, pleading Reese to hang on.
And as the hazelnut-brown head rushed through the silent corridors, V caught a glance of him, passing quite some several rooms including his. Reese? What happened? He moved out from his seat, not bothering of the ongoing boring lectures. The professor even called his attention yet still, he chose to ignore the old man's incessant rants and warnings. He couldn't careless irregardless of the consequences ahead.
Detention.
He looked at them at a far distance. His chest fall heavily with worried expression. He wanted to move away from his spot and chase after them but... what for? She already got Jungkook on her side. He wasn't needed. He knows. God even knows. V, why aren't you giving up? You looked so much like a jamless person, a fool. He mentally noted to himself as he half-laughed at his own insensitivity.
"I'm a love loser."
•••••••
Her head was pounding. She couldn't even tell which was which. A dream? She had the difficulty opening her eyes as if it was glued together, permanently.
The wavy-haired teen felt something cold was pressed against her forehead and it was enough to make her eyes to flutter open. There her boyfriend was, and what she hadn't seen coming was the feeling she would had when he met his dark-grayish orbs. She felt completely awestruck the way those pair of spheres held her stare. She wanted to pretend she didn't see it but her own heart was betraying her. She was drowning and suddenly forgotten how to breath.
