From the day Medusa was turneturned to when it finally happened People try and hunt her down but only one succeeded because he had the help from the gods. He then found out that Medusa's head could still turn people to stone so he brought the head to the very cruel king turned him to stone and marries his daughter.
From then on Medusa hasn't really been a threat but monsters don't stay dead the die stay dead and come back so Medusa will some day have to battle her again.
