In a room secluded from all of the other genetic engineering pods in the House Of El, Laura In-Ze and Zor-El stood side by side. The baby in the pod was their daughter. But something was wrong.
She was awake,looking at everyone through her large blue eyes.
"Selena! ",Alura called their head scientist. Zor-El had given up the position when they decided to have a child. Alura didn't agree with his decision, she hated the woman with a passion.
But, of course, the more rational side of her had to admit that the woman was a brilliant scientist.
But she was a believer in the old word. Krypton, centuries ago, was a dark and violent planet,the high court, Alura's own ancestors among them, thought they were above other species and and planets.
In fact, Selena's own daughter was in that room. But besides the two genetic engineering pods and the technology to uphold them, the room was vacant.
"Alura,you called? ",Selena asked as she walked through the large double doors.
"It seems we have a problem, " Zor-El answered instead, "She's awake, it's far too early, is it not? She still has four months, her body can't possibly be ready. "
Selena walked over and typed something into the computer.
"NO, no, no.",Selena mumbled typing more furiously.
Suddenly Selena's daughters eyes snapped open. Glowing red eyes surveyed her surroundings.Zor-El stumbled back while Alura stood frozen in shock.
"W-what is that? "
"Reign."
And with those words the pods started to crack. The glass breaking and both children falling to the floor,then 'Reign', as Selena had called her daughter, crawled toward kara,laying down against her and then promptly falling asleep, Kara following soon after.

"That thing shouldn't be alive. This is a crime of the highest order. The sentence is death to you both! "Zor-El yelled at Selena.
Alura sat on their bed, deep in thought.
"That thing is my daughter Zor-El. And it seems that I need to remind you that your daughter is bonded to my own. If you kill her, you kill Kara. "Alura was disgusted at the smug look on Selena's face. Zor-El opened his mouth to say something when Alura interrupted him.
"She's right. No matter how against the law it is, our daughters life is more important. Besides, if we are correct, it shouldn't matter. Our world will end in thirteen years time"
"But Alura -"
"But nothing, Zor-El. We will find a suitable planet to send them to when the time comes, Kara should be able to keep the little World killer in check. "
